What were these bright spots you speak of? I think I saw a whole 1 good play on the pass breakup by Rasul Douglas.

I actually think several of our rookies had some good plays. DB swallowed the entire OL on many plays.  Pride early had a couple plays I thought.  Same with Chinn.

I was not happy with any LB.  I also didn't really see much out of Burns, which was disappointing.  But I didn't expect much out of the D, so seeing some rookies have some nice plays... that was good.

And for you Cam nut huggers who want to compare his win to Bridgewater's loss:

Cam:  155 yards, 0 TDs 0 Ints.  75 yards rushing (average 5.0)

TB:  270 yards  1TD, 0 Ints  26 yards rushing (average 6.5)

You have no argument, so shut up.

Cam had 2 rushing td's and won.  (And had a WR fumble the ball out the endzone for a touchback)

I agree, although I actually saw a few positive things out there today.  The defensive line did a decent job at times clogging up the middle.  Most of the bigger runs were around the end.  I thought Douglas was ok, and might have had the play of the game had the other guy not screwed it up with the PI.  Chinn looks fairly solid.

The pass rush was weak, but so far, most of the games I have seen have had little to no pass rush. Defenses appear to be behind the offenses at this point, except for the Patriots.

We have the nucleus to be really good.  Surprised to see Pride play so well--and Douglas.

you can't by any reasonable measure exclude Cam's rushing TDs.  he is a true threat in every since of the word.

but he also had a tremendous defensive effort / was playing against FitzMagic today.

I know these two will be linked but we can be happy for both of them.

Agreed.  I think the receivers looked out of sync a little.  I think that will improve.

Of course, the teams we play will improve as well.

Yes.  Moore in particular did not look to be making the right choices - or Teddy wasn't. Hard to say for sure.

left out Cam's 2 TDs and franchise rushing record.

I don't blame Brady for not calling CMC on the 4th down play, everybody you'd think would be watching for him.  I would have curled Teddy out on a boot and maybe a short pass from there. Lucky they were that close.

Before the game, 80% of the complainers would have said we would have lost by 20.  Not a very knowledgeable football base to be complaining so hard
