Thank goodness for Harris and Gamble

From what I have read on this forum... I think that Harris's hit on Jacobs is largely being downplayed. That was a career defining hit. And if it wasn't already so.. WRs will think twice about going across the middle in front of that guy and even elite bruising RBs will think twice about hitting him head on.

You read my keyboard... that was the hardest hit he has taken all season...... I watched every Giants Game cant remember him getting stopped like that

i thought they did get some pressure on manning at times. brayton and pep got a sack i think

Outside rush can be blunted by forcing the ends to go wide (either with a good tackle or an extra blocker) and having the QB step up in the pocket.

If you can't get an interior rush with your tackles, sometimes line stunts can compensate (didn't look like we pulled all that many).

UHHHH....I thought Gamble did horrible last night... On one of the first big plays for the Giants. Eli escaped pressure and heaved it up...Gamble was playing the receiver not the ball; when the receiver jumped Gamble slowed down and looked around like a deer in headlights. I was like AT LEAST PLAY THE F***IN' RECEIVERS HANDS!!! (try to make it a difficult catch)

catching a pass in front of a corner's zone doesn't constitute beating the corner. Nobody on that team could beat Gamble in man consistently, and not deep. Lucas and Marshall are also good in man, but for some reason we don't let them loose.

I wish we would have taken the leash off and thrown some more six man rushes at them. We don't even run blitz.

I understand what Fox wants to do, but I don't think it works all the time because we don't have the personnel. Zone only works if you have pressure, or you are mixing it with man. Our defensive line needs to be the same as it was in 03 for this style to really be dominant.

However, I sort of wonder if we reserved some of the playcalling in case of another meeting. Some of you will shoot this down, but I wouldn't be so quick to say that it couldn't have happened.
