Wow, a lot of people mistakenly saying a sloppy game favors the all rookie coaching staff. No one outside of this fanbase would tell you that. The raiders were a better team than us last year, improved this offseason, and outside of getting KK back healthy the panthers didn’t. I would be extremely surpised if Carr, or any qb really, didn’t throw for 300+ yards on us. Luckily are qb is a well known duelist, always winning those high scoring shootouts - oh wait

Joe Burrow was utter dog poo before Joe Brady had him run his pass offense.  Became the #1 draft pick.  You never know.  It's why sports is fun and cool to watch.

Cam Newton wasn't suppose to re-write the record books week 1 as a rookie and that season.  Cam Newton wasn't suppose to lead us to a 15-1 season with a weak roster throwing to nobodies.

Steve Smith and Jake Delhomme weren't suppose to lead us to a Super Bowl in 2003.   89 also wasn't suppose to win the triple crown coming off a broken leg and being a one year wonder.

Are we going to be good or bad? Well, you never actually know until they play.  Let's see what the 2020 guys look like first.

idk how any fans that have gruden as their team's coach could feel optimistic about anything short term or long term.  yeah y'all may beat us but that 10 yr contract is never going pay any dividends.   that dude could ruin any offense that's ever existed.

If they are playing sloppy we have a chance.

Yeah you could say that about pretty much anything-  “let’s just wait and see.” I laid out my reasons for why I think we lose. You offered examples of people exceeding expectations. Maybe the raiders exceed expectations? Saying we don’t know until it happens doesn’t really add anything of value to the convo. Yes, I could be wrong, maybe our secondary plays really well, maybe rhule out coaches gruden in his first ever nfl game. I just don’t think it’s likely

I'm not optimistic about this season, but damn if that post didn't get me fired up! Hopefully I don't run out of steam right after kickoff.

How upset are Bengals fans going to be when they realize that the Brady/LSU Burrow isn't likely to ever make an appearance for that dumpster fire of a franchise?

Gotta say this year's Raiders visiting fans have been good. Lots of solid info.

We're always glad to help. We know what it's like to lose home games to teams that look beatable on paper.

But... look around. Teddy Bridgewater is not a starting caliber QB. You traded for him, to be the starter. There's very little chance that Bridgewater will start all 16 games. Really... and I say this with honesty: Panthers are in the 'tank for a QB' derby. All you have for a positive this season is fantasy football. You can draft McCaffrey and have a chance to win your league. He's all the offense you got. After one of the better opponents on your schedule shuts you out... well... it's still better than no NFL at all.

As for Derek Carr in this game... as I posted already. He's only going to need to throw about 16 times to win this game. Raiders o-line and TEs are going to school your defense. Sure, you know the plays. We know the Chiefs plays too.:)  Still have to execute.

There are no "must win" games for the 2020 Panthers.  But there are 16 "must not look like a college team" games.

man, one mediocre sub .500 season and it got Raider fans thinking they are a juggernaut.

Raiders lost 5 of their last 6 to end the season last year.    Most of those were against teams with losing records.

Only need to throw 16 times lol.  Carr averaged over 30+ attempts a game last year.  Never had a game in the teens.

but seriously, that is some good fan fiction.  10/10.  Would read again.

We know what we are.  Looks like the Raiders will have to teach you that same old lesson they always do each year.

Since the Panthers have existed as a franchise, the Oakland Raiders have had four winning seasons and four playoff appearances. In fact, since their last Super Bowl appearance, they have gone a staggering 92-180. That is a winning percentage of 33.8% for the Raiders fans that have brain damage from watching terrible football for years.

So you think the 2019 defensive line is better than the 2020 defensive line huh

And we didn’t add Robby Anderson or upgrade from Kyle Allen to Teddy, or add significantly to our ability to stop the run.

We were not good and we got better. And as bad as we were, think about how many games we could have won if we could have punched it in from inside the 5. We would have had 8 or 9 wins and possibly been going to the playoffs.
