omfg we finally let go of dead weight in camp, f'n finally, and someone pissed in y'alls cornflakes.

in other news i heard a cam newton interview this morning and he sounded like himself. first time i've ever heard that. there was no image he was trying to create or keep up.  he obviously respects bellichek.  it seemed like the weight of the world was off of him.  just my take.   he never sounded like that with ron as coach.   never.  ron sucks

I'm sorry but I don't like this organization does business at all this was brutal

It's just proof of what fans should've already known - the media side of the operation doesn't really have any special insight into the football side of the operation. The media side was doing what they do - looking for a nice feel good story about a player who had made the initial 53. The football side was doing what they do and looking for ways to upgrade that 53.

This isn't really a bad look for anyone who understands that.

I think you are missing the boat on this one. Most aren't upset at jettisoning subpar players. That was a maddening aspect if the Rivera era. Kudos to Rhule for cutting the fat.

The upsetting part is that Hurney used a fifth rounder on a guy that couldn't even be a depth piece on the least talented Panthers roster in our history.

Just another example of poor evaluation by the organization. We can't afford as many of those as other teams because we are less talented than most franchises.

Yeah, the Panthers are always going to be heavy fluff in their articles. That shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Every organization does this.

Pretty serious reach criticizing 6 of 7 draft picks making a roster.

It's not a reach when you look at guys like Gaulden, Little, Scarlett, etc. It's been a Hurney problem for a while. It was a Gettleman problem, as well.

Under normal "healthy" franchise situations, missing badly like that wouldn't be a big deal. It becomes amplified when you have such a dearth of overall talent.

It DEFINITELY gets amplified when you see the disaster of an offseason we had last year. It is one of those things that just keeps adding up.

My guess is that letting Robinson go may not have been talent related.  He left WVU under off field circumstances and played well in the XFL.  I remember when the draft class was announced, one of his comments to the other players was ...now we get paid.  Rhule wants players who love football and get paid as a result of their efforts, not players who love money and play football to get it. Team building makes examples of certain players and he may be one.
