True. I was focused more on Robinson, which we haven’t seen play in the NFL....so he was already an unknown. But I thought it was a solid pickup for a 5th rounder. Thought he would hang around for a while.

He was out played by the UDFA. I'm happy about that. I love hungry undrafted guys with a chip on their shoulder.

At the very least it could mean that a different coaching staff using a different base scheme values his strengths and weaknesses differently. If coaching staff and scheme were the same, then your hypothesis would be more probable. As it is, there are multiple variables that are unknown.

You basically answered your own question. We drafted 3 DL and signed another FA. Obada was invisible, why would they ever keep him over the new guys even if he on the same level. I don’t think he was but there’s always turnover at the bottom of the roster where Obada was.

I think the DL has a lot of potential but I don’t know if they’ll be better this year or not because of the inexperience. It’s hard to be worse against the run but we did get some pressure with McCoy, Burns, Poe, Butler, Irvin and Addison. That DL last year had just over 40 sacks.
