Oh Jesus...

Apple is a better athlete and he can be more versatile.  Let's see what they can do with him.  (Since I am now defending a cherry-picked quote taken out of context)  You did not include the statement that losing BB was a big loss and "let's see how this works out."

Jesus and Mother Mary.

Is this the same Eli apple that is on his 3rd team in 4 years?   The same player that his teammates called a cancer?  Just so we are clear right

Yeah man that entire post has the blue tinted glasses zeroed in.  And I lollered at the Ohio state "Insider info"

Oh---you were thinking that anyone was seeking your friggin opinion?  Since you know more about the situation with Apple in NY--please share what you know.  I will wait--but since I know you don't---and you do not know anything other than what I told you about my source of information, do you always "loller" at what you don't understand or know?

I will see if you respond with facts or more finger-pointing, juvenile crap.

Apple is a 25 year old former top 10 pick bust who is on his 3rd NFL team and hasn't yet solidified a starting spot on our roster of "whodafuqisthatguy" CBs. Apple probably isn't much longer for the league to be honest.

His teammates called him a cancer.  Thats a fact.  He is on his 3rd team in 4 years. Thats a fact.  He was suspended by the Giants.  Thats a fact.

I guess you need a lesson on distinguishing whats an opinion and what is a fact.

Yeah, we have to ignore the facts that the Saints were more than happy to let Apple walk after one season and the best deal he could find on the open market was a one year $3M contract in order to get excited about Eli Apple. Teams in win now mode don't let quality young players at premium positions walk for peanut contracts, nor do quality young players at premium positions find their best option to be a one year peanut contract.

you are right--there has never been a good athlete get off to a bad start and turn things around.  Never happens. New coaches or a change of locations and schemes has never benefited a talented athlete. The Panthers should have asked you before signing him.    My entire post (the part you did not cherry pick) explains that BB was a lost and adds, "let's see how it turns out."  That tells me that you simply want to argue and pretend to know something nobody knows yet.  Ask Tanneyhill what scholars like yourself were saying about him before last year.

I get that---which is why I said, Bradberry was a huge loss and let's see how this turns out.  My point about the "inside info" was that his problem was mental, not physical.  So if we can get that right, the athlete is there, and one that could do more things than Bradberry, who was more limited as an athlete.  I really thought that was clearly stated.

I think virtually every draft bust's problem is more mental than physical (outside of the guys derailed by injury). You generally don't get drafted in the 1st round if you lack the physical talent.

Did you read the post?  (Or have it read to you?)  Look at the athletic measurables.  Apple is the better athlete.  You all go off on hearsay and tangents--of course he has concerns and issues--that is why he is here and that is how Rhule has been successful.  What about that is hard for you to grasp?

Great comparison, totally the same thing.

Its funny that your argument has to rely on Apple "turning it around" just to make the defense better.  It to note he has still not won the job.  But keep reaching for that pie in the sky.  Tell us more about your ohio state insider info please.  So he got shipped out of NYC, he couldnt get straight in NO but man, he is going to put it all together here in Charlotte.  Eff it, I am on board now

    • CMC had 1 game under Wilks and had 13 carries. His carries per game have stayed the same  in San Francisco if not gone up
    • Considering the Panthers under Rhule and Wilks were content to run him into the ground as their offensive “strategy”, is it any wonder? Subpar QB play, a below average OL and one decent WR in DJ Moore pretty much guaranteed his career would be a short one if he stayed here and not much hope of things improving. But that’s JMO. We did the right thing allowing him to leave for greener pastures.  You’re certainly not wrong just looking at it from a different perspective.
