We are not tanking. Might as well get over that notion.

I am not convinced NFL experience stops this from happening.

*looks at last year*

Isn't this what people also said about Miami last year and they ended the season 5-4?

Tanking is about a mentality.  You don't instill a "lose intentionally" mentality, especially on young players.  Tanking just doesn't work in the NFL.  Its not required to tank to find a QB to get you to the playoffs or Superbowl.  If you look at the last season, one may even say its a sign you *wont*.

Miami started 1 rookie (first round pick Wilkins) on the defense last year.  What we are about to do is going to be historic, and not in the good way.

Rhule was 2-10 in his first season at Temple. He was 1-12 in his first year at Baylor. He's walking into a similar dumpster fire here. He completely tears down to completely rebuild. Call it tanking, call it rebuilding, it's just semantics. The end result is a lot of L's in the first year.

And with this up coming draft the timing can not be better for us to be in the position we are.  We may not be as bad as jacksonville (I still think it will be close) but we are going to be one of the handful of teams that struggle every week.

Damn I just looked 50% of the secondary are rookies.

2 rookies and a 2nd year guy on the dline.  We may not be intentionally tanking but this is pretty off the wall style in trying to win games immediately.  And I am too scared to look at the oline roster  ::shudder::

The staff may be saying all the right things but I believe their actions clearly show they are building for the long term not short term.

Anyone trying to win right now is pretty dumb. We need to look toward the future not now, we just don’t have the talent. Winning 5-7 games does nothing for us going forward.

Mehhhhhhhhhhh!

They have multiple championships. People aren't talking about copying cheating, as you should know.

Sure, but no one, not me, not you, not Bellicheck, can say how much cheating impacted the winning of each of those championships, and IT IS an undeniable factor. So when anyone wants to point to the Patriots as some kind of template for winning, I'll feel free to point out that all those championships are tainted, as you should know.

lol I still remember watching our opener against the Rams and seeing the cut-ins from Ravens-Dolphins.  Baltimore just mercilessly ran their ass out of the stadium and I think we might be in for some of the same this year.

If that's what makes you feel better.

...could be said about literally any post on here. Let's not assume that I'm using posts as some sort of therapy. I'm posting my opinion just like everyone else. Trying to frame it as something else means you just don't like what I've said, but are unwilling to engage the merits and instead just throw negative implications.

To be fair, Mrcompletely stated a fact or two.
