Impact of no preseason games

of course we could also be straight trash on offense because of the lack of preseason and then that post will be really stupid, who knows

Doesn’t this apply to every team, even those with the same players/coaches returning? The good coaches change things up and every team will have at least some new starters on each side of the ball. The bad coaches who don’t change up their systems at least a little are predictable anyways. Every team is implementing new things to varying degrees, preseason will hurt that for everyone.

Who the hell knows how it’ll play out, gonna be very interesting at least.

The Raiders could drop a win in our lap but yeah, I agree.

Or they could blow us out of the water. I cannot recall ever knowing less about a Panthers team than this one.

The great unknown. I honestly think for the first 4 games will be won by the teams that arrived in the best shape- mainly cardio-wise(even mentally with the 2020 BS). Jon Gruden vs Phil Snow nothing like a nice firm test on game one. Plus if the ST coach had huge balls, you could see loads of shenanigans. I worry about the REFs too, they needed pre-season just as much as the players.

The refs 100% and great point, I completely forgot about that angle. Great catch.

I wouldn't bet on the Tampa game early as it stands, fresh old guys that can win early in the year & a HC with experience on a roster with some talent. The Chargers are used to not playing in front on fans and could play Taylor at QB so that is looking like a real possibility. Arizona has a 2nd year HC and a promising QB that should give this D a lot of problems, I give them the edge. As things stand, 2-4 is attainable if we are ready as the rest of the teams. If indeed the real learning begins in the Raiders game we could be looking at 1 or no wins through that stretch.

In the end, it's all guessing because there are so many unknowns.

Not much of a gambler, but NFL lives off of them. Smart money says to avoid the games til some unknowns get known. True degenerate gamblers believe its the best time in years to place a bet. I havnt looked at the points spread of all the games, but did see the Vegas -1.5/-2.5..... That looks A-W-F-U-L juicy to take vegas with the points. Just feel no way Panthers hold Vegas back with all their weapons (Jacobs, Walker, Ruggs) and John calling the plays. Chucky dont care about running up the score in pro ball.

If I knew what type of shape teams where in, Id bet the farm....  I wonder who Denver is playin........

I think it looks juicy to entice bets in a year that looks nothing like the normal, at least not yet. I'm not much of a gambler either. I prefer risks that I can help influence.

Once week one is done, it will be interesting to see how everyone adjust and not just football people. The vegas part of that will be fun to watch because I have no investment in it and it could be crazy and abnormal.
