To be fair, most of you are talking about the strip. Not the actual city and suburbs. It's actually nice. Same with what was said above about NOLA. Get away from that one area and it's not a crowded, drunk fest.

I actually haven't done his Vegas places, since we have so many options in D.C. We wanted to hit the other celebrity chef's places. Scott Conant, Gordon Ramsay, Wolfgang Puck, etc.

First time was Jaleo when we walked in sweaty and tired from wandering around the whole day.  Next visit was Zatinya (sp) a bit later.  Just like his outlook and seems like a cool dude.  My wife loves sharing (read: eating my stuff) so tapas style is always her favorite.

Okay, you hit the best ones. China Chilcano is vastly overrated. minibar or barmini are both cool.

But yeah, super cool guy. It's so impressive how he will drop everything for humanitarian efforts. Seems like he really uses his wealth and status to help people.

Vegas is the perfect place to visit for 3 days and go back home.

Been there, not a very relaxing place to say the least.  I feel like if you can stay off the strip and go visit the attractions like Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, Area 51, it can be a decent trip.  If you are trying to sight see on the strip, the people there are extremely pushy from the vendors on the street to the casino security people.  They want you to be drunk on your ass losing money.  If I wanted to be mugged, I'd go to the hood.
