Is Will Grier contrating styles between Norv/Scott and Joe Brady?

In a recent interview, Will Grier was talking about new offensive coordinator Joe Brady. He said...

Quote

“He’s a young guy, but he’s very football-mature. He’s really smart. Since we’ve been together here, he’s done a good job of figuring out what we’re good at and trying to implement it. It’s not just, ‘I’m calling this play and you’ve got to make this work.’ It’s communicated by what we’re good at and try to implement those things.”

Does it sound like he is contrasting Brady's style to Turner's here or is it just me.

Since when do we care what Will Grier thinks.  We aren't even sure this guy can be a NFL QB, just less a starter.

Because it gives us a slight look into the differences between the past coach, and the new one...whom we know very little about.

Many have begged for us to stop putting square pegs into the round holes, but that's what we did.  BB and NE do it a little differently, they find out what a player can do, and modify their styles around that.  Ron and Co. and for the most part John Fox did the exact opposite.

At this point, the general consensus is he’s an over drafted backup with everything to prove. He very obviously struggled with grasping the conceptual “speed” of the NFL when thrown into the fire last year. Although some of this may just his own rationalizations, it’s worth noting that the staff is willing to adapt to levels of development.

I'm just pointing out that this is the narrative every time a coach leaves.  Historically, teams that change every year based on personnel do not fare as well as teams that have an approach and stick to it.  Also, claiming that RR was some sort of neanderthal that didn't change schemes to fit players is far from accurate.  No need to digress to the past, but RR literally designed the entire defense around Luke and brought people in to cater an offense for Cam.

Comparing anything to NE is not fair.  They have arguably the greatest coach, greatest QB, and greatest owner of all time combined.  So yes, NE does do things different just like the 85 Bears did.

Will Grier is probably not going to amount to much in our system. He was even a head scratching pick for Turner's. I'm not going to say the kid won't work hard but at the end of it he's probably going to be another bust pick by Hurney. Who falls in love with players too much.
