Apparently they lost another family member to cancer a few years ago. Third hand info so I can't speak to the reliability of it, but it's quite a story if true.

Just saw this on IG...  Just so sad and incredible at the same time.  What a selfless warrior and forever a legend.

From everything I've read...  your info seems to affirm that probably no one outside of his wife knew.  It's just unbelievable that he was able to do all that he was doing.

My hope is they let Shuri (Letitia Wright) take on the mantle of Black Panther. She was such a great character in the first Black Panther and appeared with T'Challa during his return at the Battle for Earth in Avengers: Endgame.

I do wonder if they will create an in universe explanation for T'Challa not being there anymore. But I suspect that also might be in poor taste as nearly everyone in the 4th wall knows why.  I've always thought they would reuse Killmonger as I didn't buy his death in BP. He's totally set up to return so that might be an avenue they take.

Really people made fun of him thinking he was losing weight for a role but now they feel really foolish knowing he kept this battle very private in order to work on movie there. May he RIP!
