I agree with QB with being the pick, I mean its the most important position in all of sports by far. Again breaking my #1 rule here, panthers 2021 OL could have no returning starters. You draft a QB to put behind a total new OL, hes going to die. Wasted the pick and set the org back 5 years.

What if you draft him and sit him a year til you can get a line together? Sitting a rookie qb instead of starting him has proven wise in the past and I agree that a promising prospect can be ruined by throwing him behind an atrocious line. I know everyone says great qb on rookie deal is the new cheat code, but you’ve got 4 more years after his rookie season to go out and win with him. Has a rookie qb ever won a SB?

Just throwing out random thoughts.

I could co-sign that, just a few problems. It puts a firm time limit on fixing the OL. So they going to draft some OLmen during that correct? Just like other spots it could take more than 2 years to become a legit NFL OLmen. SO are they sitting the #1 over draft pick for two years, if the OL isnt ready? This could be like years ago when my friend was having another kid. I asked how can you afford another, he said "If I wait til I have enough money, we'd never have the kid". Poor guy is miserabile these days.

Again breaking the gold rule about "QB is the end-all, be-all". I just see that after this season, panthers dont have a OL(assuming Paradis is cut). Putting a totally new OL together with vets (form teams DIDNT resign) and rookies seems like a perfect way to ruin a #1 overall pick at QB.
