If Bridgewater has a good showing this season...(an exercise in critical thinking and problem solving)

I would 100% take a Joe Thomas.

QBs aren’t going to go to a certain team just because of a great LT. How many QBs did Thomas play for?

A good QB will add more wins to your team than  an all time great at any other position.  How many wins did the Browns have with Thomas?

Really you brought you a great example in Cleveland Browns. They have spent what 5?6? first rounders on QB and all failed. Thats a great point and has plenty of history and facts. The one one time they spent it on a LT, it was HOFer. Lastly if you built a great OL, Im about 176.67% sure QBs(even draft picks) will want to play behind it. Browns where ran poorly for the last 25+ years, they never built anything other than a factory of saddness.

Having had and not had a franchise QB over 25yrs of Panthers history it was a lot more fun to HAVE a franchise QB. To actually have a QB that could take over a game if needed or to get a good team to taste greatness I'd take that every time.

Teddy is a journeyman QB. IF he was a franchise QB he'd still be in New Orleans. I'd draft a QB regardless of his performance. He is what he is and he ain't what he isnt. I trust Sean Payton's evaluation.

If we're going young rebuilding why the heck would you pass on drafting a potential franchise QB.

Then Pj Walker steps in. Idk, if yall are BLIND or football illerate, but Pj is EXACTLY what we need now and for the future. Accuracy? CHECK. Deep ball? CHECK. Deep ball WITH accuracy? CHECK. Mobility and ability to escape the pocket? CHECK. And dont hit me with that TIRED "the XFL doesnt have any competition, therefore its not a REAL football league." If that's true, why did we sign Pj AND Cam Phillips? Also, why the rest of the NFL sign over 25 different XFL players?

I stand with Pj. #PJWALKER2020

53 x 32= 1696

That is the number of regular season roster spots available across the NFL. Let’s not imply that signing 25 players who have yet to claim about 1.5% of the total number of roster spots out there is any kind of real validation of the XFL’s talent level.

Bridgewater looks like a stop gap type QB who can run the show, but you're not winning the SB with that guy. KC would blow us out of the stadium with Mahomes chucking bombs all over the field. And don't think spending year after year building up the defense will stop teams with a top QB. SF tried that and got unloaded on in the 4th.

Without any question in my mind we need an elite QB, and I don't mind missing on picks to finally land one. I want a SB trophy, not a "pretty good season" here and there for the next decade.

Move the goal post. First you guys said, XFL players werent "good enough" for the NFL, now that they made it to the NFL, its different now lol.

I'm not moving any goalpost because I didn't say any such thing, and frankly, I don't have a dog in the fight. I'm just pointing out facts as an impartial observer. I am neither for nor against XFL players. What I am for is well supported arguments instead of poorly supported ones, and claiming that 25 players signed (not who have actually won those roster spots mind you, just signed) is meaningful proof of XFL talent levels is not a very credible argument. How do I know? I'm neutral and it doesn't sway me at all.

You seem to be more worried about being correct with a draft pick than actually making the team better.

So what if he was an HOFer, it really didn't help their team much.  If one of those 5 or 6 draft picks would have been just an above average QB it would have created more wins then that all time great LT.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying draft a QB with a 3rd round grade in the top 10, but if you have a top 10 grade on Lance, and a top 3 grade on Sewell and you are picking in the top 10 you pick Lance all day long if your team needs a QB.

I agree with QB with being the pick, I mean its the most important position in all of sports by far. Again breaking my #1 rule here, panthers 2021 OL could have no returning starters. You draft a QB to put behind a total new OL, hes going to die. Wasted the pick and set the org back 5 years.
