Panthers worked out 4 LB's today

Well we certainly have a need there.

Losing a generational player like Kuechly and then the complete lack of starter quality guys after Shaq and Whitehead leaves us with perhaps the weakest linebacker corp in franchise history.

The chances of building this unit back up immediately without investing significant draft capital is about as likely as winning the lottery, but hopefully we can find some good special teams and depth guys there we can keep for a few years until we can draft another LB stud (hopefully).

Best case we have a serviceable group this year. Worst case we end up like last year...

I'd rather see this group struggle than the overpriced guys who quit by varying degrees the 2nd half of last year

That's gotta be a big wake up call to the guys currently on the roster. They're obviously shopping HARD for better depth. Probably also a good indication that Chinn is going to be given every opportunity to stick at safety first.

I bet Marty is looking at a couple trades involving LBs, lord help us.... Only great part is that seems one of Martys strong points, finding LBs. I still feel Shaq, Carter, Smith, and Whitehead are ok enough for the 2020 panthers. Panthers think otherwise, I mean Orr seems like a good UDFA too. Feels like Blackburn is the one wanting LBs for ST too.

I certainly wouldn't give up my draft capital to try to put on a band-aid at LB. We need to be in full fledged rebuild mode right now.

HAHA, Im right there with you. Panthers again think otherwise- signing your hero 2 gloves, Anderson, and traded for Okung. They believe already and want to be the best 4-12 in league history.

You know Hurney thinks we are a contender, right?

Rhule does too. I wish there was someone to reach them before all the cap spending. Tepper must have been sold this too.....and he bought it too.
