I was behind Drew Brees, pretty sure he never missed a game. ‘Man, I’ll never, that was my mindset. You can always talk the talk about, ‘I’ll be ready when my number’s called.’ But you never know until that opportunity presents itself.

That’s something I told those guys,. After that game against the Rams last year. I was embarrassed. I had to hear it from my family, fans and just everyone. I told myself I never want to experience that again. So my message to those guys was to always stay ready.

 

Takes a lot for a NFL player to admit being less than ready in this league, though a whole lot of guys find themselves in that position. Teddy strikes me as a straight forward guy. Ask an honest question get an honest answer. I really like that.
