In Andersons career he has averaged 765 yards receiving and 5 TD per season ... on the Jets

You're significantly overrating our WR history ..

Its a true statement that Anderson, if Cam were still here, would have arguably been the best WR that Cam ever had to work with ... the fact that it's even arguable is a shame

Moore had almost 1200 yards last year with a busted shouldered Cam, Kyle Allen, and Will Grier as his QB. 33 year old Smitty had nearly 1200 yards too.  Smitty had more receiving yards and averaged more yards per season than Anderson after his 33rd birthday than Anderson has had in his career.

Anderson is a decent vet WR, but Smitty was a borderline HOFer and Moore looks to be an emerging elite WR.

I think Anderson could be solid for us, but he is nowhere near as good as Smith, no matter what age Smith was when he played.

Yeah, there's levels to this stuff. Anderson is solid. Smitty was elite. There's a difference.

The good thing is that Moore is trending towards elite and hopefully having Anderson here will help draw some DB attention away from him.

Panthers top 3 WRs are the basedest neapolitan ice cream. All bring something that the others doesnt do well. Both Samuel/Moore are great at pre-snap stuff like motion. About the only thing none do well is block(moore is the best and hes average here). Moore should have gotten loads more prasie for the season he had, maybe the most underrated in the leagues given the QBs/OL.
