So friggin excited about this defensive line

If our CBs can't hold up for 3-4 secs it won't matter how good our D-line is. 

People love to say a D-line makes a secondary's job easier but in reality at the beginning of the play your secondary is more important.  You could have 4 Aaron Donalds and if the other QB gets the ball out in less then 2.5 secs it really doesn't matter.

With that being said I think we are going to play a lot more press this year and I'm really curious to see how DJ and Apple respond.  Ultimately those two guys will be the deciding factor for our defense.  If those two can hold up our D-line has a chance to be above average, and therefore our defense might be decent.  If those 2 struggle we could end up with a bottom 5 defense.

Once we goto front 7, that puts whoever has Luke with the upper hand. Even TD vs Morgan, Id go with TD(unless its superbowl). TD proved he could overcome injuries, morgan was not reliable. Even longterm, Witherspoon proved to be the better player over Morgan too.

Personally, I believe that we have what we in up front, may be a year or 2 but we have a good foundation. Back end? We'll see...

   And are you really bringing the only team with a winning record for 20 years straight. Where is this close competition. The Pats are the definition of “next man up”. A team with an over/under of 9 wins compared to 5.5  for the Panthers. Don’t be lazy. Explain how the Pats are a bottom 5 roster.

Jacksonville is just about unanimous for the getting the first pick next draft followed by Washington and Cincinnati. So there's three for you. Vegas agrees with their win projections. There's your answers.

   There you go. So my statement this is a bottom 5 roster is accurate. And someone acting like calling this roster “pedestrian” is insulting, has no basis in reality. Only statements I’ve made. And you just agreed. Thanks.

There is your answer.  They have a whole lot of average WR, all their TE combined have caught 6 passes in the NFL,  an average OL at best with their starting RT opt out, a LB group that saw maybe there best player opt out and 2 other starters leave in the offseason, a good secondary that saw their starting Safety opt out,  a solid group of RB, a DL that is solid but the most sacks by any of the returning players is 6, and a quarterback that has not been healthy since 2016.

Let me guess you just thought because it was New England they would be good.  Now they will probably play better than their talent really looks like on paper.  But just looking at they players they have we have better WR, TE, RB, DL, and maybe even LB.  Yes they are that bad at LB. 

Now I think they will have a better record than us at the end of the season but it won't be because they are more talented.  Don't come in here and act like you're on twitter and just jump on people when they have a different opinion than yours and not know what the hell you are talking about.  If you are going to have an opinion at least have some facts to back it up.

Yes, the parts among out defensive line is actually impressive.  Is why I laugh at anybody whom says our defense will suck. Our pass rush will be improved.  That will help the entire defense.  As you know, defenses can be rebuilt/reloaded quickly compared to offenses. 

Going to be exciting watching defense again!

   Posting the roster is the answer? LOL. That’s adorable. Then pick and choose a few small advantages while ignoring anything that doesn’t fit into the “Narnia” you’ve dreamed up. Like the massive differences in the secondary. That Patrick Chung was already being replaced and played at an Eric Reid level anyhow. Not a big loss. Or OL. Or DL.

I'm curious about him as well. Always a good sign when your ex DC and head coach want you on their team.he'd be the guy I'm watching all preseason, if we had a preseason.
