Averaged 10 sacks per season, forced 30 fumbles, had 6 INTs as a defensive lineman... lazy af. LOL

And did it all in trash time and two games a year. Yes lazy AF for his talent level.  So stfu and go drink a tofu latte Karen.

the defense during the fox era was based around peppers drawing a double team other people making plays. peppers realized this

jenkins and co hated this because they felt like fox was protecting him and there was a double standard. peppers didnt give a poo because he was getting double teamed so what were they complaining about.

it was a huge fuging issue and eventually tore the defense apart. everyone knew how good peppers was and what he could do if he wanted. peppers thought he was doing what he was supposed to do. it was a multi level failure and a huge what if. the usual thing we can all agree on is give steve smith peppers' physical talent; how many sacks a year does that player get?

also peppers straight up took a year off lmao

He wanted to leave and they made him the highest paid hostage in the NFL. It was completely insane and shows how disconnected they were from the reality of him wanting to just simply leave the organization.

I remember this well

it also seemed like most of his sacks came against two or three teams In his first run here

I also remember an interview with the late great Deacon Jones calling out Julius for taking plays off  back in the mid 2000s basically saying for his ability julius’ numbers were too low

Julius was a great player nonetheless and teams had to scheme for him every game whether it was full effort all the time or not.  Frankly with these players we never know their true injury status either

Peppers after 2005 was a different player. 2004 peppers was the best defender ive ever seen.

Peppers going against Kenyatta Walker was an extinction level event. Gruden should have just benched him against Carolina.

Exactly right.  Julius really grew up and we don’t know what went on here when he was a young man.

I think Pep's rookie season was his most impressive, tbh. He was an absolute beast at a time when the defense was becoming great, but not all the pieces were there yet. He was the main reason our defense in 2002 was as disruptive as it was. Hell, take away a Shayne Graham missed chip-shot and a Quincy Carter BS touchdown and we go from 1-15 to 9-7.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
