Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater says he's leaning toward kneeling during the National Anthem this season. A former Vikings quarterback, Bridgewater says he was able to get in contact with George Floyd's family and in his words "do some things for them.'' Says his heart goes out to the family.

Quiet Teddy will have some of those same folks rooting for him against him soon enough

He won the NFC North and made a pro bowl in 2015.

He also had a QB rating of 99.1 in 2019.

Also spell check is free.

He was an alt in the biggest popularity contest with terrible numbers that year.

Last year he was on a top team thats loaded with talent and he was pedestrian.

It is but I'm not being paid and typing on phones suck so I still don't care. Sick burn, would hurt a lot more if you weren't talking out your butt on this conversation. Just kidding, not at all lol.

Some people here are feed so much mediocrity for so long that they actually seek it.

3200 yards 14 tds and 9 ints and the Pro Bowl is LOL funny. If you think that is "great" that I am tapping out.  And its also LOL you are hyping his 5 games last season on an absolutely loaded team.  Dree Brees had a rating of 116 and played more games and a harder schedule.  That offense/team was one of the best in the NFL.   Teddy, to this date, has been an average NFL qb.

He was an alternate of an alternate on the largest Pro Bowl roster in history due to so many players opting out. He had to have had the worst Pro Bowl season in modern NFL history, but he was surrounded by a very good team so they succeeded in spite of his pedestrian QB play. He was 22nd in passing yardage and 26th in passing TDs that season. He went to the Pro Bowl because his team went 11-5 because Adrian Peterson led the NFL in rushing yardage and TDs with nearly 1500 yards and 11 TDs while they had the #5 overall defense. Teddy was just along for the ride.

So if we get him a good cast he can do well? Sounds good to me.

We're very unlikely to build a top 5 D or a good OL within the next two seasons. Teddy likely doesn't see the final year of his contract when his cap hit jumps to $26M and we can recoup $21M of it. He's a placeholder for the next guy.

He would have to be who he has never been for this to not come true.

Maybe. We did go DT, DE, S, CB, S, DT, CB in the draft. And we picked up a starting WR and a starting LT in free agency. We should sneak into the playoffs in two years and be on top of the NFCS in three. Barring injury TB should be integral in that.

At this point, the best thing to be said is hopefully there will be nfl football In 2020

personally the second best thing is my refund check coming today

Brady wanted Bridgewater.  He got Bridgewater

Linus needed his blanket

the panthers are bottom feeders this year. Taking an honest look at the roster compared to just the other nfc south teams should tell the story

From my point of view, until there is a capable GM here, and there is some idea if Rhule can actually coach in the NFL, if you are fortunate to not have any money in the team, just enjoy that there will  be games this season

keeping  hurney is like putting a clean sock on a dirty foot

Our the majority of our starting oline is on a one year deal.  Moton, Okung and Miller.  With Paradis's contract going up as well he is as good as gone.  Our oline will look completely different in 2021.  This is a long process and no way in hades we sneak into the playoffs next year.  We need consistency as an organization

Sounds like a friendly wager. What are the terms and stakes?

    • LoL at this guy being a Bowers. Complete lazy draft time BS. Watch this and see what a TE that's worth a pick at 8.  Warren looks solid but Bowers looked like a freaking stud.
    • I don't know how Walker will end up. I know he's got real long arms, that makes you taller in a sense. He's around 245, you know with age you add weight. Im a size queen as well, but I also toss that aside if you can get the job done. I mean all-world DT darnold was barely 6'1 and one of my all-time favs John randle barely stayed above 260....but they still caused havoc and did their job. Georgia has been the best team at turning out players the last couple years, Walker is among their best.  Think 2 years from now, Walker is in the 265 weight range playing edge next to dbrown.....That side of the OL is in for a nightmare each snap. He's still got his coverage skills form LB days, but he's evolved into playmaking edge.(the hope) I disagree with no edge being worth the pick, there's about 5 edges I wouldn't mind at 8 including walker. Cause if you are drafting him that high, the plan must be edge. You are right about about Panthers draft habits, here's another I learnt over time. Even since Shaq Thompson, they like youngest players when the first pick happens(most years). DJ Moore, ickey, BY, Horn, burns, brown were among the youngest in the class. Walker is a young 21......in fact he just turned 21....
