It was the picture for me...

On a serious note, I don't wish any ill-will towards Teddy.

Same, its not fair to Teddy that the organization was dumb to move on from Cam.  I hope we get the best from Teddy and he can be viable option for us going forward

The offense he was playing in was hardly average either. And 4 of those TDs game against TB's awful pass D that allowed 4300 yards and 30 TDs on the season.

So he is a good QB with good pieces around him.  I'm ok with that

That's the problem. We don't have the Saints' roster. If we had one of the best OLs in the NFL and a stout D, Teddy could be setup for potential success. He's just not the type of QB who can overcome the issues we have. Everyone wants to look at what he did in a handful of games in N.O. and what Tannehill was able to do in Tennessee and think we can replicate it but fail to realize those are much better overall rosters and Tannehill has proven to be the far better QB over the course of their careers thus far. Honestly, I think Teddy is one of those good backup/marginal starter types. Good for him for suckering us into that payday.

Disagree.

49ers

Eagles

Vikings

Broncos (old P Manning wasn’t that great...)

Jaguars

Patriots (late Brady is not that great)

even the damn Titans...

Plenty of teams in the last 5 years making deep playoff runs and super bowl appearances without an ‘exciting qb’. Even when saints and chiefs starting qbs went dow ...

Consistency and surround them with an elite team will work pretty damn well. Need a scheme to compliment players and a coach that will adapt. Problem is Hurney isn’t capable of that IMO. The biggest weakness in this FO as of now.

I think Panther fans are used to Madden esque Cam highlight reels and the Panthers relying on him too much doing it all. But in reality his highlight reels didn’t do the team any good.

Hell in the best game stretches Cam ever had he had very pedestrian numbers just spreading the ball around and being consistent.

He sure isn't that great even with him having the best QB play in NFL history to back him up.

I think you are way off on Teddy.  You will see what a marginal starter looks like when Brees goes down this year.

Count me in as super excited about Teddy.  Love a come back story.  Love that he has overcome some serious obstacles to get the job.  I doubt he will take one second of it for granted.   Love that he spent not one but two years learning in that Saints system, and he chose that 2nd year because he knew how much of an impact it was making on him.   Love that he is familiar with our new OC; that's going to be huge this year.   If he just turns out to be a "bridge" to our next rookie, so be it.  But I'm thinking and hoping he's much more.

Ted isn't set up for success here. Terrible D needing a couple of years to improve, poor oline and an entire coaching staff learning the NFL  nuances. He is training wheels for Brady making an NFL OC transition.

Those gloves are just silly and I can't stop thinking of Carr. Whatever just mild lameness that doesn't really matter.

I guess the biggest shocker is they are trying to hype him up while the smoldering rubble of our best QB ever still in the air. Bad take and the blow back is completely  expected. Just let Ted play and focus on our stud RB so we can all try and not think about losing Cam and Luke.

This. The guy is setup to bomb big time here. At least he'll be financially set for life.

The master plans have not been going well the last couple of years. I feel bad for the guy but I'm not going to play fantasy cheerleader. It is what it is and us fans are in this for a marathon to get to where we need to be. Just remember the sales pitch, 'it's a 5 year process'.

Now we are learning who are fans. TB isn't the answer but lets just look at the long time posters that are so willing to throw him and his chances out with the bathwater before the man has taken a single snap here. Some are the same that proclaimed Andrew Luck the next coming of Jesus back in the day!

Its a throw-away season anyway as we likely wont even finish 8 games and anything we do will have an asterisks beside it, so why all the hate for Teddy?
