Players opting out

The guy for the Cheifs had a reason.

Duvernay-Tardif went on to say that "I must follow my convictions and do what I believe is right for me personally. ... Being at the frontline during this offseason has given me a different perspective on this pandemic and the stress it puts on individuals and our healthcare system. I cannot allow myself to potentially transmit the virus in our communities simply to play the sport that I love. If I am to take risks, I will do it caring for patients.

Star opting out surprises me 0%. He's a great football player, but the dude clearly doesn't LOVE football. That's ok, but that was evident from the first interview he had as our first round pick

Maybe he doesn't, or maybe he realizes that he has a BMI north of 40 which doubles his risk of developing severe illness from COVID. Or maybe he doesn't want to infect his family and also doesn't want to be isolated from them.

Add in the heart condition and it makes total sense that he opted out. He’s made a ton of money and doesn’t have the passion for football and has health issues. Seems like a no-brainer for him.

Pats trying to guarantee that #1 overall pick. Free year to test out Cam and if that fails they get Trevor Lawrence handed to them on a platter.

It’s what the panthers should have done. If Cam can’t do it anymore, pull him and put in Grier. Sail to the #1 or #2 pick, honor the final year of Cam’s contract and separate amicably after the season.

Nope, lie about releasing Cam, then release him at one of the worst times possible, and sign a really good game manager and probably going to finish 5-11 and just out of the reach of Lawrence or Fields and have to draft a lineman or DB. Panthers football 101.

Undrafted rookie linebacker Jordan Mack became the first member of the Panthers to opt out of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Offensive lineman Greg Little (knee) will start camp on the active/physically unable to perform list. Undrafted rookie OL Branden Bowen will begin camp on the active/reserve list with a non-football illness. Also, OL Juwann Bushell-Beatty has been waived.

Since he's undrafted he's not even eligible for a stipend.
