Disagree. Will only increase the chances of spread. More people = greater risk

I think it would be better to have players ready to go in case of an outbreak.  Lets say they find out 6 players have it Friday,  with expanded rosters you have players ready that can fill in instead of having to find players.  They can keep practices seperate or even at different times to avoid too much player contact through the week.
