NFL players want to play, but need more safety measures from nfl

NFL preseason rosters of 90 players per team, equals 2,880 persons.  The NBA, 450 players.  A little bit easier to manage, not to mention the sizable difference in the number of coaches/support staffs.  The NBA may be feasible, the NFL, a monumental task.

Lol, NFL players are definitely replaceable, save a select few.  These are gladiators, do you know how many ex-college football players that couldn't make it to the pros would take on the opportunity to play for 100k a season if the big names opted out?  Do you think the casual fan really knows any player outside of the big names?   Most people just want to see hits and their team score.  The rest is gibberish.

This just simply not true. If they were so easily replaceable you wouldn’t have a QB signing a 500 million dollar contract.

Sure some scrub on the PS who is basically a tackling dummy can be replaced but the guys who are making the most money are speaking out for the little guy - which is not common in America and should be applauded. Maybe we can all learn a thing or two from the NfL players...

Average NFL player makes ~3 million so to use a 50 million dollar guy as your point for most not being replaceable doesn't make sense.  You could say the same about some General Manager making 200k while his workers make 20k.

It doesn’t matter how much cheese these guys make - they have a right to play, practice, and work in safe facilities and a safe environment. They have to protect themselves and their families. They have a unique opportunity to make a shitload of money in a small amount of time.

it seems you have misplaced anger for the players when in all honesty you should be mad at the NFL - Goodell, the owners, and teams for dicking around and wasting time.

Another awful point in your post - you claiming that someone who on average makes 3 million year is “easily replaceable” you know a lot of people who make 3mill a year that are replaceable?

As long as Antonio Cromartie or Philip Rivers aren't in charge of protection we should be good.

Phillip Rivers: family man. Loves children. A great father and family man. Really loves his kids. Life is so precious.

antonio Cromartie: irresponsible human being. Makes babies and won’t care for them. Needs to get a vasectomy.  This sort of behavior is awful and embarrassing. A complete deadbeat dad.

The product the player provides is worth 3 mil.  The player isn't.  Take a poll of a random 100000 people and ask them if they know who Jarrad Davis is.

Yeah - maybe if these NFL stars want to “opt out” the NFL can bring dudes in off the streets. Scabs. Replacement players. Obviously has worked out well in the past for the league. Where did you attend Business School - trump university?

Yes, most jobs in the American workforce are disposable. Person working them can drop dead and the company will have that person replaced and forgotten in a week.

Pro athletes, NFL players offer a unique skill set that is not easy to replace which is why they make the big bucks.

Why do you feel like an experienced American worker can be replaced by some scab on the street but an NFL player cannot?   Does the product not suffer when you replace an experienced American worker with a scab?  What point are you trying to make here?

The average American worker is easily replaced.  There so easy to replace that many American companies out source their jobs to different countries. Call up time warner cable or Amazon for customer service and find out for yourself.

professional athletes aren’t easily replaceable. They are very valuable and make a ton of money for a reason. Go back and read what you wrote.
