The potential is there with Thomas, just need to see the utilization and him put it all together.

The Panthers are one McCaffrey injury away from being dead last. Optimism is one thing but I'm worried about the state of the opioid epidemic in NC after reading this thread.

The team that was ranked 22nd didnt have Cam,  Bridgewater is much better than Allen.

Is he really? Allen started 12 games last year. Bridewater’s best season was when he started 16 games. Allen had more yards and TDs than Bridgewater’s career bests and he started 4 less games.

People are way more optimistic about Bridgewater somehow being a stud for us than I am. Allen wasn’t good, wasn’t a franchise QB and was an UDFA and yet he put up better passing results than Bridgewater’s best year.

I personally wanted to get a 3rd for Bradberry, save $21M a year and go for the top pick, but I would have much rather seen if Cam could come back than spend the same amount on Teddy. If people really think he’s got anywhere near the ceiling of a healthy Cam, Lawrence, Fields or Lance then they couldn’t be more wrong.

The easiest way to get back from the poo fest we are right now is a franchise QB and that’s not Teddy. 7-9 gets us nothing other than a few more years of mediocrity before we finally try for a franchise QB but now have officially wasted CMC and probably lost Moore because we had to give Teddy, Robbie and Kawann $90M for nothing.

Yes he is, really. What you wanted doesn't matter, we have Bridgewater and he is a good QB.

You don’t know that for sure. Sorry, but he’s done nothing so far to show he’s anything but average. You can be hopeful, but a guy who’s never thrown for more yards or TDs than Allen in 12 games isn’t a good QB yet.

Remember this game? Allen looked like a way better QB and it wasn’t close. We’ll see how he does and don’t worry I know what I wanted doesn’t matter, but it also doesn’t mean I won’t be correct.

I think at this point its pretty irrelevant if Teddy is a "good" qb because his line is straight garbage and he is not a mobile qb that can evade pressure.  Add to the fact that its been years since he has played double digit games and I think there are some huge unknowns about him that go beyond if he is "good" or not.  I think if his knee wasnt an issue and if he was above average talented than the qb whisperer Payton would have held on to him since this is Brees last year.  I think its telling the Saints let him walk after having him in the building for quite some time.
