Jourdan told the truth now that she is gone to the Rams

ive said it all along and she did too more diplomatically when here

i have lost a lot of respect for Tepper and I don’t think I can get it back enough to pay to watch the team on Sundays.

i paid my invoice in full believing Cam would return.
funny how right after invoices were due Cam gets cut

kinda like how the people who lost their seats, though work started on removing those seats directly after season’s end, weren’t told until invoices were mailed

Tepper has the class of a fart in a church during a funeral

If you didnt see that Cam was on the chopping block then thats on you.  There were a ton of reports and a ton of indicators from at least Jan on.  People on here were talking about it even sooner.

The Injury Prone narrative was such bullshit. He has always been one of the toughest players in the league and never got credit for that.
The league didn't protect him like other QBs either. Our OL sucks(but we still have Hurney!!!). If people think a healthy Cam is going to suck in NE they are hilarious. Its still an unproven in regards to his health but they actually have an OL and a smart coaching staff. When Washington bombs and NE still does well this whole Ron narrative will collapse around the league. Non Panthers fans think Ron was a great coach with a QB "like Cam".

Honestly in regards to that situation I can't wait. In regards to our situation here with the Panthers....can wait....another draft before this poo show hits the field is just fine with me, was a complete waste anyway to watch our hapless team.

Bullshit

do you really think, as prideful as Newton is, that he would have made the rounds at the Super Bowl radio row if he didn’t think he’d be back? ..that conversations didn’t happen ?

You think he would make himself look stupid, I don’t

I’ve been a die hard Panthers fan my entire life but you can’t objectively look at this Cam situation and think we (Panthers) aren’t total idiots. This is worse than the Smitty situation.

Tepper is arrogant asshole and thinks he can do better than a healthy Cam Newton. And frankly he reeks of a guy that watches Colin Cowherd and lets it affect his decision making.

The best QB we’ve ever had. The best player to make the biggest impact. The one that could bring success quickly. And we use him up and trash him because the new owner thinks he knows better. Total bullshit.

Do you all realize only in this offseason we finally addressed LT? We finally signed a good free agent WR?   And we let Cam walk to sign a dude who is a fraction of his potential.

And 10x more expensive. This franchise is retarded.

Like I said, thats on you if you didnt think there was a chance they would cut him.

This thought that the panthers had the weakest OL or didnt care is completely false. For nearly 4 years Cam had three 1st-team all-pros right in front of him. Turner was 2nd team, but he was a main stay at LG for 7 years. Kalil was the leader and many listed him as either the 1st or 2nd best C in the league. Norwell gave up no sacks during his 1st all-pro season and cashed in. Many QBs would have killed for that. The other years at OG the panthers had either Hangman, Wharton, or Williams(Gary) all where above average NFL players. Amini was trash, not going to defend him.

OTs where no where near the quality, but still not trash. Gross and Oher gave the team good starts at LT for years. Every single team wants/needs a solid LT, honestly its easier to find a good QB than a good LT. RT was the weak point, just not much there. When Remmers took over the team went on a 26-5 run tho and he got a nice pay day form the Viking. Before his injury Darrel Williams was great RT and had a 2nd team all-pro season.  Many here hated Bell, but he was serviceable at RT.....just keep him away form the LT spot.... Bell proved himself on other teams and had a long NFL career. Its simply impossible to field 5 1st team all-pro OL.

Gettleman gets blamed for starting Chandler and Bell during that season, but Marty leftd the panthers was NO cap room even after cuts and contract tricks. It was not by choice, there where no other options.

Handling/coaching Cam was a very unique challenge, Rivera was scared to sit Cam. In the end he wasnt a good leader for Cam cause Cam was bigger than the team. Ron didnt have the respect or balls to make the tough calls on Cam, he didnt have HC experience with a star as bright as Cam. Warrior talk and playing through pain, theres no playbook on that especially dealing with a Star QB.

Cam is not without blame no matter how much you idolize him. Like others, he held back the severity of his injuries. (Ron/coaches should have seen this watching tape, anyone could and sat him). Plus he DID hold the ball too long on many passing plays. He could have gone out-of-bounds and slid WAY more than playing the tough guy role as a QB. No one got him to understand this, many at fault for this too including Cam for being super hard-headed.

I put blame on Panthers Org, coaches, GMs, and even Cam....BUT the main reason is the NFL/Refs. FUCCK you shitcunts for not protecting Cam like any other QB. Im still pissed about that and its compete mismanagement. There where a different set of rules or lack of rules for Cam. If I owned the panthers during this time there would have been a new record high in league fines.

Also people seem to forget that every team builds around its players strength. The Peyton QB'ed colts were built around scoring points, so they invested in that side of that ball. The Bears know they cannot score 20 points on a good day so they invest heavily on the D. The patriotsbuilt a team with a strong line but crappy offense skill position players. There is no single blueprint on how to build a team. You have to build around your strengths.

Cam's strength was moving in and out of the pocket, so that made having elite tackles less of a priority because Cam was able to mitigate that... Which then lead to the team being able to invest in other positions. Its all give and take.

Its lazy to blame the demise of Cam on a single position group.

    • Hope Koch recovers (he’s stated numerous times he doesn’t like to be called “koochie”) soon. But he does not instill confidence in the crease. I don’t have any confidence in any of our goalies, healthy or not. Andersen when available gives us the best chance to win but he’s never available.    Team has to explore trade options soon.
    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
