Cam was 0-9 in his last 9 starts and hadn't been completely healthy in two years. Nothing beyond that narrative matters for a new regime. We already know the former regime handled the entire Cam era completely wrong. Time to move on.

Until we have a franchise QB there is no where to move on towards. We treading water with a guy that hasn't played a 16 game season since Cam's MVP year and a coaching crew that may take a few years to get good enough for the NFL. We are here and ready but the team is not. That isn't on the fans.

LOL at the "it was time" to move on from Cam folk.

When healthy, he's the most difficult player in the NFL to prepare for. Defensive coordinators have fits, because even when they dial up the perfect defense for the play, Cam's ability to improvise still makes them wrong. Few QBs have ever had that ability in the NFL.

LOL even harder at 0-9 for an obviously injured QB, trying to will a team to victory, even though a blind man could see that Cam could barely throw the ball 20 yards on consecutive plays. By the time we played Seattle, anybody that even cared could tell he needed to be IR'd. But no. We beat the man into the dirt. The team loses a bunch of close games after he started out on fire, we put all the blame on Cam, and then we dump him the first chance we get.

The league is moving towards Cam-type players, because of ------- Cam. And we just let him go to the friggin PATRIOTS for NOTHING!!! All because we had the chance to pick up Teddy Bridgewater. Teddy, who was released by the Saints full well knowing that Brees could retire at any moment. They chose a The Golden Calf of Bristol lite over Teddy B. Just saying...

3 winning seasons.  I think the NFL knows exactly how to prepare for him

If you're gonna argue that the Panthers have 3 winning seasons in the last 10 because teams KNOW EXACTLY how to stop Cam, well... you should stop now.

I wish Ron would have abandoned that approach since he nor the GM cared for building Cam an O-line. Instead they should have developed an offensive system that allowed Cam to move out of the pocket to negate the bad pass protection. I can count on one hand the # of times Cam ever rolled out to make a pass in 9 seasons with the Panthers.

Actually I think at one point I read stats suggesting he wasn't that effective rolling out. He had a tendency to tuck the ball and run too often in those situations.

He's gone. Whining won't make it 2015 again. Run along to Foxboro.

So if I don't agree with every thing the Panthers do, I should just move on?

I think Trump is a friggin idiot. The worst leader I've ever encountered - and I've encountered some really bad ones. So, I guess I should just bite my tongue and move to another country, huh? Even though I was born in South Carolina? Even though I served as an officer in the US Navy? Even though I still serve as DoD Contractor?

FOH with that.

Perhaps I may be remembering it incorrectly but based on what I can recall, all his designed rollout passes have been completions (I think his first career pass was to Shockey for a 10 yd gain). Regardless, I can agree with the notion that he would prefer to just tuck and run in that situation.

LOL at the fact that CAM was not going to play on his deal - he wanted a new contract. So the combo of him wanting a new deal and the team not being confident in his health is why he was let go.

LOL even harder that Cam should have played out his final year. He screwed himself, not the team.

LOL at you acting like you know.

When you don't.

You can't. Nobody does. Cam is playing now for 500k guaranteed. How do you know what he would or wouldn't do if Carolina kept him.

A lot of the snarky, too smart for tv, posters telling you to move on or talk about something else, provide absolutely nothing to the forum. Complain about content, yet don’t bring anything to discuss.

It was reported that he wanted a new contract.

Even if thats not the case, the fact that no one jumped on him for months after he was cut shows what the league actually thinks... which is good when healthy, but not healthy for a long time. No one wanted to take that risk at that price. His price came down, he became a low cost option. That is not the same situation that Carolina had - which is why he was cut.
