She is the beat writer in LA now right? Happy she has the chance to air poo out how she wants to now about the Panthers lol. Wouldn’t mind hearing more of what she truly had/has to say.

I'm actually shocked that she's airing everything out now. I would love to hear more as well. LOL

I’ve been a die hard Panthers fan my entire life but you can’t objectively look at this Cam situation and think we (Panthers) aren’t total idiots. This is worse than the Smitty situation.

Tepper is arrogant asshole and thinks he can do better than a healthy Cam Newton. And frankly he reeks of a guy that watches Colin Cowherd and lets it affect his decision making.

The best QB we’ve ever had. The best player to make the biggest impact. The one that could bring success quickly. And we use him up and trash him because the new owner thinks he knows better. Total bullshit.

Do you all realize only in this offseason we finally addressed LT? We finally signed a good free agent WR?   And we let Cam walk to sign a dude who is a fraction of his potential.

Agreed.

Tepper will have egg on his face soon enough.

I'm glad she said it, but let's be honest, it's not exposing anything. At least half of this board has been saying this for years. It's just confirming what everyone with at least half of a functioning brain already knew.

Valid point. But, it's great to see a reporter who worked for the Panthers actually confirm this information publicly.

    • Your thoughts? I don't think the trade up or even down value system stays exactly in place this year. Look at all the bad trades that hurt teams that give away too much (49ers for Lance, even us w/the Bears set us back). What trade up except Mahomes/KC was it really a great trade for the team giving up a lot? Same with trading down. Teams will know you don't want to pick and they won't be giving the store to move up because there is not a generational talent to do that for. Now, I believe these possibilities.  The Giants probably won't take QB-Sanders at 3, it's too much pressure if it doesn't work. They don't really need another edge rusher with Carter. I can see them possibly saving face, trade down to even the Panthers at 8 but not asking for a kings ransom. A 1st round swap, a 3rd and 4th and maybe next years 2nd and 4th could be enough without giving up too much. The Giants save in pay and in public opinion and then they can take Sanders or even another QB. For the Panthers to drop down, it has to mean their top 3 picks are not there. Do they take TE-Warren if he drops in their lap at 8 (I do like that)? I believe they would love to drop back but again I don't think teams will pay a lot to move up unless they want a QB before the Saints (our only hope for a good value).  I'm not picking a player, just thinking of the draft in general and value. Reaching doesn't work and more and more teams are realizing that.
    • With the new DL, we should be better at edge by simple addition.   What player would have the biggest impact on the Panthers?  I still see the plan to trade back and take Emmanwori if we can find a trade partner.  Why, you ask?  S is a huge need and they have really only looked at 1 visits/meetings.  We will try to trade up for Princely in the second.  A WR in the third  (Bech or Noel).
