Yep, you pretty much nailed it.

Funny how a fanbase can be so arrogant considering the franchise has been mostly irrelevant since its inception. This franchise and fanbase did not deserve to draft a Qb like Cam. At least hes with a legitimate organization, probably the best in the NFL. He deserves it after how his career was mismanaged here and especially with how he was treated by the fanbase/organization during his departure. 

Go get them superbowls Cam and earn your spot in Canton. Not even a trash organization like the Carolina Panthers was going to stop you.

I would’ve rooted for him anywhere else but NE or an NFCS team. But I can’t even root for him to put up big numbers in losses, I can’t root for anything good at all for this worthless, cheating franchise here in Boston. If Cam leaves in a year and goes to some other AFC team I’ll root for him to do well. Not this year though.

The player who the "traditional" Panther fans think is the greatest?  Well, he's the player who stepped and fetched for the racist POS owner whose statue just got brought down and melted for scrap.

But never forget that Cam Newton danced after he scored touchdowns, baw!  HORRIBLE!

Good for Cam, and I hope it works out.  Unfortunately, I don't think this is going to be a good fit. I can't help but think that if this was a more normal season, Cam would have had better overall opportunities in terms of options (including the system he would play in) to consider.  

But I hope I am wrong and he does well there.

      Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
