Saints fan here. I did not like that statement. Williams should not have said it.

I suspect he wishes he could take it back. He coaches our guys to be aggressive and hit hard but I absolutely do not believe he wants our guys to be dirty players and I know our players are as good as any in the league about wanting to play a clean game.

I hope Williams steps up today and attempts to take that statement back.

“Yeah I am, and I’ve had the same issues too. It’s not like this is the first time I’ve gone against those guys. He’s an unbelievable football player. I wanted to draft him when I was the head coach of the Bills but obviously he came off the board before I had a chance to do that. I love when people say stuff about Smitty. It makes me feel all warm in fuzzy inside knowing that he is gonna have legitimate rage. He is probably saying, "they are trying to take food off my plate, keeping me from supporting my family", stuff along those lines. God I wish it was Sunday already.
