Saints game plan for steve smith

Full Quote for you guys. I think he has great respect for Smith.

The thing that I think he does is the best is that for a little guy, when the ball goes up in the air, he plays like a 6-10 center; he goes and gets it. What you have to do is to turn his little body over so that when he does get it, he lands on his head and he doesn’t come back in for a while.”

Saints fan here... not here to talk smack just discuss he game... Wanted to point out something in regards to the quote from G. Williams.

The above is the actual quote that was attributed to him by the media... now, let's look at the supposed quote given in the first post that started this thread: (BTW, great job of PantherCrzy to change a quote in order to make what GW said seem more villainous and create controversy.)

But what we've got to do is turn his little body over, so that when he does get it he lands on his head and he doesn't come back in for a while."

Big distinction there if you ask me. The way I read what Williams said was to offer great praise for SS's game and basically said that the only way to stop him is to knock him out of the game. Basically, he was saying he's unstoppable, NOT that we were going to try and hurt him.

However, having said that... I find it funny that Panthers fan's could have anything to say regarding this given the controversial late hit on Donovan McNabb and the BLATANT dirty play of Dante Wesley in the Bucs game.

I'm sure it's been said already in this thread, but I didn't feel like reading every page. Williams is just saying he wants to be very physical on defense. To beat a team like the Panthers with a great running game, you have to punch them in the mouth and never let up. Nobody wants to injure Smith on purpose.

Thats funny because I didn't change it. Copied it straight from your guys website, so if its wrong then the dumbass that posted there changed it. Please try to get your facts straight BEFORE you run your mouth.

We're in here arguing over whether it was sarcasm or not, and whether or not it's moral to wish injury on other players and they're in there praising Gary Williams for this garbage. Nearly every one of them are taking it at face value and acting as if it's a legitimate game plan to hurt Steve Smith. If you want to get fired up before the game, go and read some of their posts. They're pure-t a-grade sh*t. On top of that, every other idiot in that forum has some stupid 'WHO DAT' quote in their sig, or avatar, or some dumb 'eux' substitution for the letter o.

Stay classy New Orleans...

I actually feel pity more than anger towards the Saints and their fans

They just suck, and is used to it

If the Panthers believe that a bad saints team is going to play them sunday, I really feel sorry for them. By the time they realize it there will be 14 for N.O. on the board. If the Panthers take this team seriously , we are going to have a good football game.
