All star players should be worried about getting big bucks. For a team to tie up that much money in player for a true "team" sport is ludicrous. That's why the Cowboys are slow to give Dat what he wants. Without a team around him, he can't do what Cam did in 2015 and even then he had an amazing defense. For teams to be good you need good solid coaching and a balance of talent and depth. You don't get that when paying 3 or 4 players top money or at least that's what I think the league is headed too.

The only realistic player I would dream of trading a 1st for right now is Dak Prescott, and even then yikes.

I recently listened to Greg Cossel break him down and based on what he said I would say he's not a great fit for us. Basically what he said is that he is much better version of Reid. A physical box safety that is very effective in blitzing. If he was coverage safety I could see the argument but not for a box type. Seems like our defense is moving away from that type.

Our 1st is worth more than 2 Seattle 1sts.  Just doesn't make sense for us to start adding big name pieces when we have so many holes and dead money.  Rebuild and hope to get a gem in the draft is the best strategy.

I never said anything about our first. 

My thread was response to another thread that was asking if we should trade a 2nd for him, and my point was people need to start realistic with their threads.

i would have never traded our first, but I totally thought there was a good chance he would fetch a first but slot of people thought that was crazy.

I don't think we can say they made out like bandits until we see more of what they end up with for the picks.  Right now they got the McDougald kid from the Seahawks and some magic beans.
