I just had a customer who was pissed he couldn't enter my building tell me that Covid was 'made up'......SMH.

Face it, we're stuck with this disease for the long haul because folks are ignorant and won't do what's necessary to fight the spread.

Like I’ve said now at least 1000x - the Trump administration is no longer concerned about the virus and fighting it. Yesterday’s news. He has deferred to states handling it but you can’t have one state on lockdown and treating the virus with precaution and another state next door doing whatever it wants. Embarrassing How are country “the greatest country in the world” lol has handled his from the start.

I don’t know which famous politician said that the US is 50 small countries masquerading as one giant one. Hard to not agree with that.

Your Reading comprehension skills seem to be on par with your ability to think critically.

You asked for a link.  Be specific on what you are looking for and why...  (it's obvious you didn't watch any of the broadcast from Hilton Head)

As it goes to reading comprehension, the distinction between "pro sports" and "team sports" is clearly lost on you.

It's actually the exact opposite....there's no isolation of PGA Tour players whatsoever.

PS....the thread says "pro sports", golf is a pro sport.  The threadline does not say "team sports".

There's quite a bit of inherent isolation (in terms of being 6+ feet apart) in the game of golf. If you'd actually read accounts of actual PGA players you'd see that many are going to pretty great length to isolate themselves off the course and have voiced significant concern with what they've seen from the Kiowah locals packing restaurants, not wearing masks, etc.

It's interesting how some people will eagerly trust information that they want to believe or that is out forth by people with similar political leanings, but not trust information from an actual doctor sharing very non-alarmist first hand information. Confirmation bias is real as fug and it can be crippling.

Oh yeah it's ideologically driven at this point.

Out here in Chapel Hill/Carrboro where all the libtards and America-haters live if you go into an indoor public place you'll probably see 80% of the people there wearing masks.  On the other hand this weekend I was in Hickory for Father's Day and went to my parents' neighborhood Food Lion and I'd probably put that place at 30%.

Again, we agree that when on the golf course they are probably at their safest --- but their time on the golf course in no way constitutes "isolation".

The NBA players are going to be in the equivalent of the old Green Zone in Baghdad circa 2005, that's isolation.

As for the PGA Tour players you are correct, they were surprised at what they saw on Hilton Head (fyi..Kiawah is 100 miles away) out in the restaurants/bars, etc.  This goes directly to @4Corners demand for a "link" (LOL) which I will gladly provide below.

That said, back to the PGA Tour players...did you watch any of the broadcast?  Players were routinely within 6-ft of each other and I saw many actually fist bump after the round.

Once their round was over they left the property and went to whatever housing accommodation they had made for the week and started figuring out how to get food...some went to restaurants, some went for take-out, some presumably went to the grocery store and prepared their own.

After the event they'll all fly out (or probably drive in the case of Webb the winner), some to the next event, some to home...etc.  Webb probably drove home last night and then will fly up to Hartford tomorrow...

...last week the guy who tested positive (Nick Watney) flew in private on Sergio Garcia's plane.

Now the caddies, that's a whole 'nother can of worms.  Some caddies do well but the majority are living hand-to-mouth and travel in packs and share rooms in order to cut costs...and in an effort to be kind let's just say for most their ability to assess risk is exceptionally low.

Hopefully the picture is starting to come into focus for you...

A few select quotes:

"Justin Thomas called out Hilton Head residents during his Saturday press conference in response to Watney’s positive test saying, “they’re seeming to not take it very seriously. It’s an absolute zoo around here.”

Thomas added he feels safe out on the course and with the PGA Tour’s measures."

"Carlos Ortiz said he was surprised how open things are in South Carolina when he went out to eat one night.

“It was here by the lighthouse right here in the marina. It was way, it’s a 30-minute wait, and once you get in there, there’s no social distancing, packed tables right by each other, kids running around,” Ortiz explained in his press conference with the PGA Tour."

"In his press conference, Joel Dahmen said he even felt uneasy going to get take-out, because of how busy places on Hilton Head are, saying it “is wild out there.”"

That's how the country was designed.

I'd rather not say, but yeah, we're open and have been this entire time as we were deemed 'essential'.

 Fair enough on the disclosure.

Do you own the business?  Did you consider closing it until the risk has been contained?
