I still can’t believe so many people are afraid of this hyped up viral scamdemic we have going on. It is clearly being used to usher in new systems and new ways of doing things that are easier to control for the powers that be. A vaccine will be another tool in the control kit. The sheeple will be lining up clamoring for it. We will have football in some way, shape, or form.

Shame there are people like this

Social media has its uses, but some people should pay attention to the old saying, better to be silent and let people think you are a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

I like how acting like there's a fugging pandemic going on has somehow become a political dick measuring contest. We got goobers like this, yee-hawing alpha energy like we're not seeing the daily increase in cases spiking at levels we haven't seen since the beginning of April.

At this point, yeah, let these idiots gather in large numbers. Us basement wallowers will just have to live with our beta-ness while you macho men spread the disease and then complain, "we aren't getting to stage 2 fast enough."

Serious question, who is your source of reliable information? Just curious since the nation's leading infectious disease expert doesn't make the cut, I wonder who we should be getting our information from. Your input is appreciated

In my opinion this is why nothing should have ever shut down. People die, is that heartless, maybe but it's true. Obviously if you have any medical issues you should be extra careful and people should be careful around you.  But now if some new illness comes out in 6 months what do we do? Or if the second wave of covid is worse than the first do we shut the country down for 6 months? The precedent that has been set is not sustainable long term any time something  comes up. Point is precautions could have been taken to keep the vulnerable safe without tanking the economy.

The Hong Kong flu in 1968 was actually very similar to the coronavirus. The response has been dramatically different. People died then and everyone moved on without it killing the economy. People are going to die now regardless of whether we have everything shutdown or not. Initially the shutdowns were sold to us as flattening the curve so as to not overwhelm our healthcare system. We have gone wayyyyyyy beyond that. Way too far. It’s extremely unfortunate that people will die from this but there’s nothing we can do except delay the inevitable briefly—that’s the reality that people need to come to grips with. I have loved ones who are at risk too, we all do. People need to stop acting like those who want to go on living their lives and go to work, social activities, etc. are the devils. They aren’t.

It’s actually amazing how different the viewpoints are in different areas of the country. I live in Boston and every single person here is “sky is falling.” I just drove down to Florida for a couple weeks and came back and down there, many older folks were being careful and everyone else is living their life, beach clubs, the beaches, etc. all open as if everything is normal. Those people will have a good chance of getting it and then as long as they stay away from the at risk people (I.e. the at risk people stay home), then they’ll get over it in a couple weeks and there won’t be any problems.

I completely understand sports leagues not having fans back any time soon but there is no logic whatsoever behind not playing without fans. Honestly, I wouldn’t be shocked at all if many athletes have intentionally tried to get the virus now so they can get over it now without having to deal with it during a season/playoffs and miss games. None of those guys are afraid of this. Those who need to be near older folks or at risk people should be wiser but if you’re an NFL athlete who lives with a wife and kids  and that’s it why wouldn’t you just go get it and get immunity and move on? I don’t think I’m going out on a limb here saying Von Miller, Zeke Elliott, etc. are happy they got it now rather than possibly getting it during the season and missing a handful of games.

Unfortunately it's still not completely certain that immunity is long lasting for the coronavirus. Just like you can get the flu more than once due to genetic variations of the virus, you could end up getting infected with the coronavirus multiple times. There's probably some protection but scientists haven't been able to give us definitive answers to this point.

I also think at this point people aren't as upset about places opening and people getting back to life so much as being completely reckless with disregard for others as they do it. Masks are the most obvious thing. Other countries have been able to prevent the insane numbers we have in the US due to widespread use of masks. But there's a lot of people that are either too ignorant and/or selfish and refuse. Other examples are people with symptoms going to dinner parties, bars or public pools. Literally if everyone would wear a mask in public and stay home when symptomatic, we could probably open up the country way more quickly and more safely. Should be easy since it's asking for so little but its apparently too much for many people. It would help if our leadership would set a good example but sadly that's not the case.

I’m pretty sure you could not understand or accept anything but mainstream media propaganda so no thanks. The information is out there but I won’t do your research for you.

Sure. Actually I'm a dual board certified physician who gets regular COVID updates from the infectious disease chief and other leadership in our hospital's department of medicine. But you're probably right. They're all members of the deep state. Apologies for having the audacity to ask for your sources so that I may learn the other side. I'm sure your sources are probably too advanced for my wee sheep brain but I wouldn't have minded trying to review and critically appraise them for merit. Also since you didn't say which parts of Fauci's information you find to be false, it would be difficult to locate whatever sources you're alluding to.

P.S. If you want to encourage people to see your point of view, engaging in dialogue and making constructive points is probably more effective than baseless namecalling. Just a friendly tip. Good luck.

What information? I think you are full of poo and I guarantee you got NOTHING to back up any of this. You sound like a crazy person.
