Have to go with Luke here-the man dictated what other teams did.  He was a coach in the field and constantly changed the defense based on the offensive alignment.  He controlled the movement of 10 other guys and did so astonishingly well.

Smitty was amazing, but as one guy at a skill position he could be taken out of games (like Seattle did to us in the 2006 NFC championship game).  He’s great, but he’s not Luke great.
