People smoke pot at every college. I'm not sure where it originated from but it's just a stereotype placed on Appalachian. I went to school there as well but didn't do the stuff, so I didn't see it as much as someone who was out looking for that type of "activity of leisure" if you will.

haha they do get that stereotype. Which I mean is warranted, I think a East dorm was listed in High Times Mag as one the top 25 places to get high quality herb. I think its because its the most liberal school in a conservative state or it could be that boone has a plethora of things that hippies like to do.

I have been to almost every campus major university campus in NC with the exception of Duke, and UNC Wilmington is by far the most pot/drug school I have seen.

App State's weed smoking stereotype is exaggerated. I'm not saying its not there, but not to the extent that people give it credit for.
