Sad but it looks like it’s coming to this

cant wait to see the uproar if our National Anthem is eliminated from the games...from all sides for very different reasons

It was always going to come to this. As I said, not everyone has bubbly feelings about the flag and the past as you do. That needs to be taken into consideration.

Many people of color have family that have fought in all the wars, but didn’t receive the same congratulatory treatment. Of course, they and their offspring won’t feel those same bubbly feelings as you when it comes to the anthem and the flag.

I never thought there could could/would never be any scenario in which Tepper would move the Panthers out of Charlotte...

...I truly believe it is now in the set of possible outcomes.

Boston needs to focus on his play on the field

been saying it for years...he is not that good...

JAG

Rhule exited Reid in order to eliminate distractions, will be hard to do the same with Boston at this point.

Question for the crowd....in the NFL obviously the QB position is most intellectually challenging --- which position is the least  challenging from an intellectual perspective?

Oh hell no...you are totally misunderstanding the comment...

...Tepper 100% supports what's going on.

In fact, it looks like he is putting the Panthers platform squarely behind & in support of  the Black Lives Matter movement.

Currently the Panthers are in a previously unheard of and completely unanticipated situation as it goes to PSL renewals, pretty much 99% of the 2020 renewals hang in the balance (not to mention luxury boxes, various sponsorships, etc)...

...it's going to be real interesting to see how that goes.

Possible? Yes.

Likely? No.

Tepper would have to get any move approved by the league, and I'm hard pressed to see the league agree to move a team out of one of the fastest growing markets both by population and economic growth in the nation. Charlotte sitting astride the Carolinas pulls it's fan base from both states, and both states have outstripped the national average over the past decade and more for growth.

This ignores the fact Tepper is no dummy himself and most assuredly knows he would be hard pressed to find a better market for the Panthers to reside in. Could he extract greater tax breaks from other states and municipalities? Quite possibly. Sports teams have proven one of the most proficient industries at using the prisoner's dilemma https://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/prisoners-dilemma.asp#:~:text=The%20prisoner's%20dilemma%20is%20a,expense%20of%20the%20other%20participant. to shakedown local and state governments for tax breaks. However, the economic impact of the pandemic seems possible if not likely to create budget crises of non trivial proportions that may leave government officials disinclined or unable to give away scant tax dollars to highly profitable private enterprises in the near future and possibly for a long time to come.

Oh.

Darn.

Agreed.

In the past I thought it was an impossibility due most if not all the reasons I think you listed (TLDR it all).

That said, there is a precedent here...

...at one time the Hornets were the hottest thing in the NBA and had the greatest fan support in the league --- and then they didn't --- and then the owner did what owners do when a city abandons the team...

your posts seem pretty intellectually challenged so maybe focus on that for now

The world, it's a changing, and for the better. It'll be rough before it settles, but when it does, you'll get your days in the Charlotte sun, having a beer, roaring a cheer and enjoying the things you did before.

Just some folks will be breathing a bit easier and freer than before.

Hate that my children live in this climate of hate and ignorance from the right, hopefully it will be better for their children.

We don't have all the answers here in America, but thankfully we keep working on it.

And they lost fan support because of the owner's actions and attitude, only reason. I highly doubt the same will happen with Tepper.
