I mean, that would be a hard yardstick for anyone to measure up to.

This is really stepping up to help folks out .....

Michael Jordan and his Jordan Brand on Friday pledged $100 million to the effort to redress racial injustice, the retired NBA great's manager announced.

Estee Portnoy posted a statement on Twitter: "Today, we are announcing Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand will be donating $100 million over the next 10 years to organizations dedicated to ensuring racial equality, social justice, and greater access to education."

I don't believe Jordan has anywhere close to Teppers assets.  WTF does anyone need 11  billion dollars for ?

There are at least 40 million of us who are currently unemployed and wondering how we will feed our family

next month, keep the lights on, and keep what health insurance we have.  I don't think it's asking too much to expect one of the richest people in the world, to do more to help those at the bottom.

I'm seeing "we're hiring" signs all over the place...

...if you'd like I will start keeping notes and direct you to the establishments as needed.

Lemme know mate, happy to help.

Jordan Brand is owned by Nike.  Mike clips a commission on Jordan Brand sales.

Mike's not writing a check for anything...Nike is budgeting a % of Jordan Brand revenues to be directed to certain "organizations", it's a drop and the bucket and they view it as an advertising expense.  In addition, for all we know some of those funds are being reallocated away from other organizations.  Shell game...

That's a debate for the Tinderbox and one I really don't want to be involved in.

Those tacos aren't tax free. So, using NC's general sales tax(which should apply here) is 4.75%. If you are doing a proper Taco Tuesday, it would be a sit down restaurant, which would also mean he should leave a tip. I will calculate it as 15%, which is the traditional average we use in the US. So we assume each taco is actually $1.1975. So at that rate, Tepper could only have 9,185,803,757.8288100208768267223382‬ tacos.

A .8288100208768267223382‬ taco is like a taco with a bite taken

I gave $100 to the local food bank. Paid 50 bucks for a bunch of masks to give to the old people at work.

...and donating to a food bank is one of the very best ways to directly help people in need. My ex works with people who rely on food banks, and the support they receive locally makes all the difference. Anyone who can should pull out their wallet now and make this same move.

As I said earlier, we genuinely don't know what Tepper gives.  The article only refernces a few individual donations, the list may not be all inclusive.  Lots of people like to give quietly and keep it to themselves.  I never discuss how much or to whom I give.  At least not with people I know.  I mention it here on occassion as part of discussions, but its anonymous.  I rarely discuss it with friends/family.  As far as I am concerned, personal charity should be done discreetly and quietly, without a lot of "hey, see what I did".

    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
    • The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
    • I would say maybe 8 in a tier by themselves and all but 2 where picked in the top of the first allen pat m stroud burrow jackson hurts (maybe) Herbert Stafford
