I'm going to hold off on the party until I see the contract details.  If we got taken to the cleaners, no need to celebrate.  Considering we are talking about Hurn-dog,  Apple likely got CB1 money.

Guys signing at this point aren’t going to be much more than vet min, if at all.

Who cares, he’s not the answer. We have signed a lot of one year deals like last year. I like those as they can lead to comp picks, we’ll at least unless you are the one team who’s actively trying to make sure they don’t get them.

This sure isn’t a we’re competing signing. This is a no one else wanted him and we’ve got so many holes still signing. As long as we didn’t pay much, it’s not going to change much.

Apple is one of several former Saints to join the Panthers this year. The others include quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and wide receiver Keith Kirkwood.

it worked when they did it to us, now it's our turn.

Not franchise CB money, but starting CB salary.  Not every team has a James Bradberry-type salary for their top CB.

We dont have starting cb money.  According to OTC we have about 3.2 mil in cap space including draft signings

It's pretty amazing that we used all of our draft picks on defensive players and still signed Eli Apple. Boots Riley Mind Blown GIF by Sorry To Bother You

Agree. I want to see the young guys get reps and snaps and allow the coaches to get them better. We aren’t going to the playoffs with so many changes and a much more limited offseason not to mention a talent issue (rookies aren’t studs day 1. I’d rather not worry about W-L record and work on long term experience to make the rookies much better in year 3/4+ of the rebuild. Again, not lying down to tank but realizing that we aren’t playing for this year.
