Just look at our depth. If we have 1 key injury we could be in dire straits. If we have OL injuries like 2016 or have trouble with health we are a bottom dweller. Some of our key FAs and returnees already are coming off lots of missed time last year. Let’s not pretend that Williams and Paradis gives you the warm fuzzies on Short and Okung (both 31).

I mean, let’s be honest, in the second halves of the last two years we were 1-15 and the 1 win was against a resting/Breesless Saints team. We aren’t that much above the bottom and we’ve got a ton of rookies in the staff and team.

Anyone screaming about this signing should sue their elementary schools for malpractice.  No risk, high reward.  Those are the deals you make.   Sure there are problems with the player--or he would be on a roster making  $10m or more.

Some CBs do great in some systems, terrible in another.  This is worth a look.  I really like where we are at CB--I think the 2 we drafted have potential.

I actually really think that this could be a good signing for us. Guy is still young and has ability. We have totally revamped the defense of this team, so we might not even need him to have a major role so I think the risk is worth it.
