Cam is the only QB left unsigned.

And all these other players and QB’s are getting signed during this same pandemic...including those coming off injuries.

And those coming off of injury haven’t passed a physical, for cam that’s the biggest question mark for him

Newton fumbled this Free Agency like he did his injuries.

Free agency was practically over by the time we released him.

It absolutely baffles me that this guy may have accumulated career ending injuries while completely carrying our offense for his entire career with an absolute poo OL in front of him, an absolute poo WR corps to try to throw to, and yet there is a good chunk of "Panthers fans" who gloat in his downfall.

I mean, seriously. What in the FUG?!

I  hated the Panthers traded him, something they may regret if his development shows continued improvement  in Washington and he goes on to have a decent career.  I had high hopes for him and plan on keeping tabs on his career, just to see if my hunch about his potential upside was correct.

Honestly, the only knocks I had on Kyle was the lack of a deep ball and the fumbles. It's why I've said time and again that Teddy Bridgewater is basically Allen minus the fumbles. I honestly think we spent a bunch of money on a similar QB simply because he's familiar with the offense.

In a league where The Golden Calf of Bristol and Mike Glennon didn't have any trouble getting signed after showing to the world that they're trash... let's just say if he was a lil more like them in a certain way he'd already have a contract.  This type of bs happens with certain types of players.  Even with Winston getting signed to that bs contract... but yes, it's "medical reasons."  Laughable if you believe that.  And before you come at me with any bs, there's a reason the NFL has the Rooney rule and just "table" incentives to get minorities hired.  Call it what it is and stop the bs.  You can't name a single other player that has ever been given this type of treatment.  I won't even bring up Kaepernick but again, name a single other player of the same caliber that it's happened to.  I'll wait.  He may "rub" some people the wrong way but again, if he looked a certain way it wouldn't ever matter.  Cut the bs.

Really? Ugghh. Put him in Pat Mahomes body n guess what? 45 million a year instantly!  Wake up!

I am probably going to get around 10-11 piles of crap on this post but what the hell. I am going to say that here, it isn't so much Cam at all driving that situation, it is all the people that are Cam fans first,. The people that shout people down as racists when they criticize Cam's game, and nothing is ever Cam's fault. Always racism, jealosy, Ron Rivera, Shula, or something, is out to get Cam. Anything under the sun is an excuse for it not to be Cam's fault. Right here in this thread, just like countless others.

After like, 9 years of that stuff, this is what it is.

I support this.   Movies have their heroes and villains, religion has its angels and demons, and the Huddle has its haters and huggers.

Here is another possible reason.  Cam basically ran a form of the offense he had at Auburn.  That offense has been weighed and measured by defensive coordinators.  They started making Cam beat them with his arm and took away the run.  To some degree, they devised a way to bottle up Cam.  He was still a great athlete, but in a battered body, bad OL, big/slow WRs, etc.

The decision (Gettlemen) to draft big WRs to offset the accuracy issues was critically damning to Cam.   It was the wrong move because they did not get separation and they took longer to run their routes.  Cam held the ball longer as a result.  So the 3 inches they gained in catch radius was offset by the .3 seconds longer he was holding the ball.

It was never about race-unless you think that a latino coach and white GM that had no idea how to use this black prodigy from Auburn is a racial thing.  It was about Rivera's ignorance and self-centered approach to the game--the Coach that had no adjustments or strategy beyond hoping that Cam would save the day.  And Cam did, and that is why his fans love him.

Tires lose their treads and transition from asset to liability, flowers wilt and fall to the ground so the bush can grow new ones, and athletes and boy bands rise and fall with a thud.  The only constants in life are things like the greatness of the Beatles and Igo's hair style.  All else is a fad.

Not about Race--never was--

I always supported Cam. He was my choice when he was drafted and I was thrilled. Some of the amazing plays he made in the years here will always be treasured in my memories. I read two things in this thread that stick out to me. Cam played for a defensive minded organization and they failed him. 2015 was a fluke in the sense the right guys got together not by some great insight by the Panther staff but by pure luck. Cam's greatness shown out. We finally seen what he could be. Unfortunately this blue print for success wasn't followed. I didn't hate on Rivera but was ready to move on. The other point was NFL defenses figured the Panther system out. We didn't change and everyone knows the rest of the story. I hope Cam gets another chance and succeeds. I think he will. I will always a fan of him.

Exactly right. This and the injuries are the reasons he isn’t signed. His “MVP” like stats in 2018 were because he became a CMC check down machine. He didn’t suddenly become more accurate.

Cam is not a guy that can plug into any offense. You have to make an offense for him.  There isn’t a team willing to do that.

Getting rid of one black QB only to sign TWO more shows the racial bias this organization has against black QBs.  I can appreciate Cam has a loyal fan base.  However, continously using the race card as an excuse for the things that didn't go right here in Carolina got old.  Good luck to Cam wherever he signs.

Kaepernick's girfriend wants everyone to know that Colin is a UFA as well and not retired. He is available too..

Dude is a joke now and his girlfriend, if still the same one, was the one that radicalized him.  Before they hooked up, Colin was a fairly normal dude.  She largely tanked his career, so I guess now she's trying to help revive it.
