Cam is the only QB left unsigned.

Yes it will. You can tell the future? What’s the lotto #s for tonight?

One pretty good indication of future events is that if you predict it, it's not gonna happen.

Beyond that though, besides the fact that the Panthers have moved on, Newton's not coming back here.

I predicted that we would draft Cam, Star, Shaq, KB, CMC, Moore, Burns, Little, Brown and Yetur. It happened.

I don't see a rush for him to sign anywhere right now. There's no obvious starting job or path to a starting job available at the moment. His options aren't going to get any worse moving forward. Someone will get hurt or some team will realize their QB situation straight sucks when the pads start popping.

Im trying to think of the last time QB was hurt and some one came in off the street and played quickly....and played well.

I think most teams will ride and die with their back ups

In a league where The Golden Calf of Bristol and Mike Glennon didn't have any trouble getting signed after showing to the world that they're trash... let's just say if he was a lil more like them in a certain way he'd already have a contract.  This type of bs happens with certain types of players.  Even with Winston getting signed to that bs contract... but yes, it's "medical reasons."  Laughable if you believe that.  And before you come at me with any bs, there's a reason the NFL has the Rooney rule and just "table" incentives to get minorities hired.  Call it what it is and stop the bs.  You can't name a single other player that has ever been given this type of treatment.  I won't even bring up Kaepernick but again, name a single other player of the same caliber that it's happened to.  I'll wait.  He may "rub" some people the wrong way but again, if he looked a certain way it wouldn't ever matter.  Cut the bs.

I think there is some truth to this. But I also think there are other factors. Cam is a better runner than passer. Cam is coming of a major foot injury. So teams arent going to bring him in for some RPO type packages. They can go younger and cheaper for that.

Looks like the rest of the NFL sees whatever the Panthers saw in letting him go. Highly likely mostly medical reasons.

Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn went on the radio this week and said their intel is Cam’s healthy...

...said they discussed Cam but decided to roll with what they had, obviously the backdrop being a high likelihood they’d take a QB early in round-1.

Again, Lynn said they think Cam is healthy.

Bridgwater gets hurt week 1.

poo just falls out.of your mouth.

Every time it opens.

That sort of comment (“hurt week 1”) really is completely and wholly inappropriate.

Guy claims to be a fan of the team and he’s throwing BS like that out there.

Find another team (and other players for your schadenfreude) pal.

So going back to 2011, you have predicted roughly 10/70 players we drafted, which is 14%. Sounds like I should assume that your predictions are wrong 86% of the time

Chris Simms already broke down the reason Cam isn’t signed. Basically nobody is gonna sign him to be a backup cause he to much of threat and everyone knows this. Even Cowboys fans were saying if they sign Cam, Dak will lose his job.

Backup QBs need to have a certain type of know your role subservient mentality, that’s not Cam. Just imagine for a second a team like the Falcons sign Cam, first Matt Ryan loses the locker room to Cam’s personality then Cam gets on the practice field and shows how much more talented he is, and finally if Ryan struggles just a tiny bit the fans turn on him. All this becomes a team distraction, teams don’t want that.

If your team doesn't have a QB, then your Head Coach is on the hot seat.

If you bring Cam in, as that coach, you may end up with a superstar performance, or you end up with an injured QB that isn't going to win you games. If option A happens, there's a pretty good chance that Cam gets all the credit, owns the locker room and you are still on the hot seat or looking for a job. If option B happens, you are out of a job and will be forever questioned as to why you risked your career on a broken down star that no one else wanted.

If you need a back-up QB and pick him up, you have just brought in a charismatic diva who has been to a Superb Owl and has a league MVP title under his belt. You also have a guy who is cooler and more hip than your current QB, no matter how big of a star they were before. Your QB is going to lose the locker room and confidence. You won't start with a QB controversy, but after that first rough game (and all QBs have at least one per season), you're going to get that controversy sniffing around.

Cam might be a high roller, but no one wants to roll those dice right now. Maybe mid-season if someone's QB is completely knocked out, a desperate team with a shot at the playoffs will take that chance on a one-year deal.
