Cam will get his shot somewhere and probably impress if he can actually stay healthy.  But the chances of him staying healthy are probably pretty slim considering the past few years.  RBs normally start to decline significantly around the same age so it isn't surprising Cam's mileage has finally caught up to him.  His best shot would be to go to a team with the best Offensive line there is and try to get hit as little as possible.

He needs the perfect situation. There is, I believe, something to the narrative that you can't just plug him into any offense. So I feel like he needs a camp to have a chance at a redemption scenario. Bad situation for that.

All of what is going on now was pretty much set in motion when he could not return last year and show people he was healthy. That really needed to happen.

What does TB has to do with why Cam isnt signed? You are the dumbass poster. Again Cam not being signed has nothing to do with TB. Cam not being signed for whatevery reason is , THERE IS NO MARKET FOR HIM. PERIOD! The NFL is about money and winning. The two usually go hand in hand. If a team felt like Cam could help them win, with all the variables that come with that such as fit, chemistry, production and durability he would be signed.

If the coming season starts with Cam still not on an NFL roster the odds are overwhelming he will not play in the NFL in 2020. 
 

I was a huge advocate for the Panthers bringing Cam back and they were willing to do so — shame Cam and Bus* misjudged the situation so gravely. 

[*Bus just may have advised Cam to accept what the Panthers were offering and Cam declined to take his advice.]

He’s a starter and won’t let that go for a year. If he wanted to be signed to a backup he would have been signed. i just don’t  see him being the humble guy that walks into New England and begs Belicheck or the Steelers Mike Tomlin to be a humble backup for someone.
