I'd be trying to trade him at this point and let someone else deal with this. Dak just isn't that good.

I like Dak as a QB, but I don't like him at $45M a year.  In fact, I don't like him at $35M a year.  He needs to prove he can step up to the challenge in big games in order to command that kind of money.  Too often I've seen him disappear.

But, if he is going to get it from anybody, it will be Jerruh.

I got no issue with it. Also this really helps us..... We are a LONG way away from a 2nd contract for our Franchise QB.

This doesn't include the guarantees in it. That's the only thing that matters. I remember prime Darrelle Revis getting cut because of poor contract structure.

No they don't. There's already a hard salary cap in place. If teams want to hamstring themselves by terribly overpaying players that's on them. I'd much rather have it that way than institute max contract stipulations and see the marquee teams load up on elite talent because smaller markets don't even have the option of overpaying them.
