Beason: "250 yards were on us"

Is Beason saying with that comment that the only reason they gained that many yards were because something we didn't do rather than the Giants doing something. It sounds like he's almost discreditng Ward

He was.

Can you blame him though? Our defense wasn't doing anything right most of the time.

That's what a leader is suppose to do!!! Light a fire under that defenses' ass!! I've been trying to preach it. The weak point now is the D. The D has gotta start playing the way they were in the beginning of the season. Combine that with how good our offense is playing and no team scares me!!!

and of that 250, about 210 were on the interior line.

jeez with Kemo out I thought it would've been bad but I didn't think it would be 300 yards bad.

We have been so use to having a guy in the middle to take up two blockers that we forgot how important it was. This was the first time in 6 years we didnt have that. Its kinda important it seems.

I think that having Nick Hayden, who had never played in a regular season NFL game in his life, in there during the 4th quarter and OT probably didn't help at all. He did a decent job under the circumstances, but people need to lay off of Trgo on this one and realize that he was coaching from a distinct disadvantage at the end.

And the Giants offense wasn't? Without Plexico Burress, and a not fully 100% Brandon Jacobs? C'mon. It all evened out. They burned us bad in the 4th quarter. They made adjustments, we didn't. A little less gust of wind and we win the game.

You call having Brandon Jacobs and Derrick Ward and one of the best, if not the best, O-lines in the league, going against our back up DT's in their house and in OT, even? I don't think so.

BTW, everybody seems to be forgetting that our defense got a 3 and out to start the OT period, which gave our offense a second chance to win the game, yet all everybody is talking about is how Trgovac needs to go. If our offense would have gotten the job done in the first place, nobody would even be talking about how the Panthers defense gave up 300yds rushing. Hell, if Steve Smith wouldn't have committed that idiotic penalty, that FG attempt at the end of regulation would have been at least 5yds closer and probably more than that....game over, Panthers win.
