This isn't 2016-17 where our best deep threat was Kelvin and our offensive line could hold up. We have CMac, Moore and (hopefully) Samuel now that makes our underneath and intermediate game much better. 

But also not being great at deep balls =/= unable to. 

I'm sure Teddy will piss us off with some deep balls he misses but has has the ability to.

Teddy played in the same offense that Cam did the last two seasons. We rarely saw deep throws. Now in the red zone, we may see some balls get chocked up this year, but the Saints offense is the dink and dunk timing poo.

Minnesota and NO's Offensive Lines have been consistently top 10 for like ever though.

Fwiw, I think the complaints were more about when we threw the deep ball. To often, we needed 1 but would throw it 30 yards.  Some blamed Cam, others blamed the coordinator/head coach.  I thought it was a combination of the two.  

 

I don't think Teddy B's deep ball is as bad as some here think.  In fact, might be the first time since 2017 we have actually had a significant deep ball threat.

what? he had a top 5 RB, a stephon diggs who came on at the end of 2015, kyle rudolph and still only managed get his team to  29th in total yards that season desipte having 1.5k from AD alone. nearly every player on that team's numbers went up once bridgewater went down (rudolph, wallace, diggs) . is that all on teddy? probably not, but he certainly had a better supporting cast than cam did had in a few seasons here (2014, 2016, 2017).

And out of all those players, AP is the only real one they had to gameplan against.

2015 Stefon Diggs is not as good as he is now. Kyle Rudolph is a solid tight end , but he's not a gamebreaker.

His other WRs were Mike Wallace, Jarius Wright and Charles Johnson and Matt Asiata. This is also taking into consideration his o-line was worse than ours.

Now, honestly, would you take that, or stick with Tedd, Philly, Greg, Cotch and Funch? With contributions from JStew as well.

Ranked 32nd in passing attempts. The OL was historically bad. Peterson sucks in pass pro. Teddy was pressured more than Cam was in the SB for the entire season. Norv built that offense around Peterson that year after he missed 2014. Diggs was a rookie that season and Peterson only played in 3 games in 2016. Of course everyone’s numbers are going to go up in 2016 with Peterson only playing in 3 games

That just isn't true. Teddy had plenty of weapons in Minn. He just didn't know how to get the most out of them. No coincidence that after Teddy went down and they brought in Sam Bradford for the 2016 season Theilien/Diggs had their breakout years

Then I guess it’s not a coincidence that they went 8-8 and missed the playoffs in 2016 without Teddy. 
 

Peterson played 3 games in 2016. Those yards had to go to other people. Bradford had 552 passing attempts in only 15 games which was 105 MORE THAN Teddy had in 16 games in 2015. Diggs had 28 more targets in 2016.

OP is 100% on one key thing, Panther fans should be a LOT more excited about Teddy.  but i'm used to it, Saints fans were EXACTLY the same, lukewarm on the idea of Teddy taking over the team, and within 5 weeks those same people were getting lifesize tattoos of Teddy's face on their chest.
