Were you around when Pep was in his prime?  There wasn't another player in the league doing what he was doing.   Before that closest was Kearse but Peppers came in and was blocking kicks, returning INTs, chasing down everyone.    He was a freak of nature.    He's also probably the only first ballet HOFer.   Luke probably as well but semi-short career could make it a year or two in.    I think maybe Smith is the biggest fan favorite and obviously close to the top but looking outside in Peppers is the guy.

Steve Smith was one of the greatest WR to play the game.  Being butthurt over the notion that he played for another team after our dumb ass management cut him is the definition of petty.

Favorite player of all time by far.

Love Cam, Luke, Pep and Co. Too... But nothing can compare to the joy Smitty gave me watching him put it on the line every Sunday even if we only won 2 games.

I am not going to be negative towards the other guys but Steve Smith showed up for the big games. He showed up for the little games. Seahawks shut him down in the 2005 NFCCG I think it was, by triple covering him, so he ran a punt back for a TD.

I have never seen a more intense competitor in any sport really, that comes to mind. Maybe some equals out there, I am sure there are now that I think about it. Jordan, Larry Bird, Pete Rose....

This fanbase will truly never understand and appreciate how we’ll probably never see a performance like 2015’s Cam Newton ever again.

That ring would’ve all but cemented this legacy as one of the greatest to play, regardless what this fanbase farts out its mouth about him the past 2 years.
