Since the Panthers got a crappy week 13 thought I would look at other teams.  Interesting note..The Tampa Toms also got week 13.

I would think a later bye week is better than an early one. Would rather see a week 13 than a week 4 especially if there are playoff implications.

And I’ll follow up my statement with the obvious in that most on here don’t think we will sniff the playoffs this year, but my point stands.

For many fantasy football leagues, Week 13 is your final regular season week. Many people are going to need a win in Week 13 to make the playoffs. CMC will be on bye. I'd still take him with the #1 pick, but its definitely something to keep in mind.

Its definitely confusing to me.

Isn't that the week of the ACC championship game in Charlotte...the first week of December?  If so, that makes sense. I wonder if Tampa had a scheduling conflict as well the same week and the League bumped us back.

Yes, its the same week as the ACC championship game.  They could have just put us on the road though.  They have us playing at home the week before.

And I'm guessing it had more to do with all of the networks fighting over getting the Bucs on their network than it had to do with us.  We play the Bucs in week 2 and the league was tying the week 2 teams bye weeks together.

Then why not just make the bye weeks for the Panthers and Tampa earlier? Seems like bizarro world that there is no bye week in week 12 for that to me.

Can’t base your draft around a week 13 bye. Just get that vital win a week earlier to propel your playoff spot
