Does anyone find it hard to dislike the Saints?

I like Drew Brees. Have since he was a Charger. I can't hate him now just because he's playing for a division rival. It's just too bad we didn't grab him when he left SD.

To be fair, I created this thread in 2009 before the Saints had won anything and their fans started to think too much of themselves. Even still, I dislike them less than any other NFC South team.

Drew Brees is a very likable guy and after all that city has gone through it's kind of hard to dislike them.

Hated the Falcons. Jim Mora and his cut blocking scheme. Deangelo Hall. Michael Vick aka Ron Mexico (and that was before I knew he was a dog killing, middle finger waggin thug). Now...with Mike Smith, Turner, White, Ryan...I have a hard time not pulling for them when they aren't playing us.

Saints I just don't care for at all. TB...meh....

Of all the teams in our division, the Saints bothered me the least... for a long time it was

1. Atlanta

2. Tampa Bay

3. NO.

Mostly because they were so suckola for so long.

But... then... the "Who dat" nation sprang from the bowels of Bourbon street. They not only talked smack to anyone like classless idiots, but pushed past the boundaries of sportsmanship and fair play. And all of it got enabled when they won the Championship.

If the fanbase showed just a little class with their win, I'd have been happy for them. But the way they acted, you'd think they were the next football dynasty, and they've been playoff contenders for a decade.

Now, the order of dislike is

1. Atlanta

2. NO and Tampa Bay

I actually kind of like the Saints. I like Bree's and Sean Payton.

But when they are playing the Panthers, I only wish for the worst things imaginable to happen to them. That is just how it goes.

I don't really despise any of our division rivals unless anything they do affects the Panthers in a negative way. I hate Greenbay, New England, and Dallas a helluva lot more than the NFC South.

there's one way that i can dislike the Saints and that's when their fans talk about how they made the right move drafting Bush because he won a Super Bowl, those comments just disturb me. sure Bush won a Super Bowl, but in his Saints career, Ricky Williams was a better RB than Bush, now if all saints fans wouldnt say that comment, then it would be very hard to hate them. Brees is a class act and i wanted him to win a Super Bowl and of course being both a panther and redskins fan i loved Gregg Williams as a defensive coordinator.
