Does anyone find it hard to dislike the Saints?

If you really think Rivers is better than Brees, your football knowledge has just been exposed. Wow.

stop jumping on everything I have to say in an attempt to find something has funny as "Funner".

plus I think him and Brees are on the same level. Plus if Brees never came to the Saints you wouldn't give a fug.

Well Rivers has won a play off game lately and makes clutch throws in close games. It depends on the offense they play in too. Not many QB's have thrown a gazillion passes in the last 4 years or so like Brees has. Not that it's a knock against him, but there are a lot of good QB's who's coaches knew before 2009 that the running game was a part of football, so you can't just go by the numbers. I go by big wins against good teams, and how they play when the game is on the line. Rivers is pretty close in that regard.

it's not jumping on everything you say Armani; I'm dead serious; if you think Brees is worse than Rivers you are on crack. And as for this If stuff; if Brady doesn't go to the Pats, then what? If Peyton ends up in KC then what? It just kills you that we have far and away the best QB in the NFC conference.

AMEN

Rivers is the most consistently accurate QB in the league

Rivers does not win games and make his team better. Brees does. Rivers better not fail with all the ridiculous help he has. What does Brees have that would be just the same with any other team? Nothing!

I was gonna create some ridiculous argument to why Drew Brees sucks...but your right. In the NFC Brees is probably the best quarterback. This season for sure at least, it's hard to find another guy who plays at the level he plays at for so long. Someone's gotta get the ball to playmaker's they have on offense.

I'm curious to see how well he'll play with JPep in his face all day :D

His name is ArmanTi edwards. My name is Justin. I don't smoke crack and Phil Rivers is on the same level as Brees. Under-appreciated Qbs with accurate arms. Phils better in my mind because I'm an NC State fan. Simple.

no what kills me is you got brees and have done NOTHING. It makes me laugh everytime I think of it.

Armani is that poo that your husband wishes you could buy him

Brees has said your DL gives him allot of trouble. I think everyone knows right now that Brees's completion goes up to 120 something when blitzed or pressured , but he had stated your DL he has had a problem with. So who knows.

Rivers was awful year before last...I think it was. I had him on my Fantasy league and was forced to permanently bench him. Personally, I don't think Rivers is bad, but in no way does he handle pressure and adversity like Drew Brees does.

He didn't put up the gaudy numbers in 2007, but keep in mind that was his only his 2nd full season at quarterback. Plus, he was superb in the playoffs including the great game at Indy where SD knocked them out. As far as dealing with pressure and adversity, how can you argue that Rivers doesn't show it when he played on a torn ACL against the 17-0 Pats the next week? What about when he took a team with a shitty run game, average at best receivers, and a defense that was 31st in the league against the pass (even worse than the Saints) to the playoffs last year and once again led them to a playoff win against Peyton and Co.? Brees couldn't win a playoff game with the Chargers, and only has one career playoff win.

If they were to represent the NFC South in the playoffs, I'd root for them. I've never really considered them a big rival of ours, other than a division rival. That being said, when it's game day, they need to lose.

I agree completely, never had a problem with panther fans. routed for you guys last year when we lost. Would never rout for the Falcons or Buc fans, they steal babies, made the stock market crash, and are responsible for most of the crime in america, thou I might be over exaggerating.

The biggest indication that Saint fans have a touchy side when it comes to their franchise's history is how they've tried to defend their team's honor in this thread lol. I just want to pinch you guys' cheeks you're so cute trying to smack talk with your two playoff wins in 30+ years of existence.

Anyway, the last time the Saints managed to beat us in New Orleans, it was December 2001. The average price of a gallon of gas nationwide was $1.22. Richard Reid, the shoe bomber, was still a couple of weeks away from trying to blow up that plane. We were still in the middle of the anthrax attacks. It's been THAT long since they managed to beat us in their place.

Also, the only time Sean Payton has managed to beat us period, DAVID CARR was starting.

So when you have a franchise with such of a history of futility that it makes us look like the Steelers by comparison, it's hard to root against them even when their cute little fans try to talk smack lol.
