why Teddy bridge water is a good qb for us as of now

Its been 5 seasons since he last played in double digit games.  He had a horrific injury that I cannot imagine will ever be the same.  And to top it off he wasnt that good when he did play.  Teddy is nothing but a place holder until we draft our guy.  He was brought in because he is familiar with Brady and is a good locker room presence and should be able to help acclimate whoever the new qb is next year.  Lets not go crazy over here @Mister

1st Round pick and Pro Bowl'er....that's what he "were"...

Being a 1rst round pick means nothing at this point.  And a pro bowler doesnt mean squat.

You think these are good stats?

 3200 yards 14 tds 9 ints

I wouldnt be banging on the "pro bowl" drum

LOL   "Nearly every quarterback was replaced, including Carson Palmer, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger and Tom Brady, along with Super Bowl-bound Cam Newton."

It does not matter what Bridgewater was---he is not going to play behind his trophy case.   What matters is the skill set.  He is a nice fit for this scheme.  Nobody promised anyone more or less than that.  If you went by resumes, Warner and Delhomme, two super bowl QBs, would have never been given a chance.  Sitting on the sideline after playing behind a TERRIBLE OL in Minnesota is a good thing.  He is 27, there is tread on the tires, and he has learned.  We have surrounded him with skill players at every position--he needs to get the ball out, on time, and accurately.

Tell me, oh mighty sages of days gone by, did you see Joe Burrow coming?

4 teams by age 27.

Deceiving stat to say the least. Had a rookie deal/played solid as a rookie then got a potential career-ending injury so didn’t have his 5th year picked up. Jets did a basic sign and trade with the Saints. He never took a snap with the Jets. Saints let him sit/learn/get healthy and could no longer afford him because their HOF QB is playing well into his 40s and Teddy had performed well enough to get paid like a starter.

So basically wasn’t resigned because of injury (same thing happened to Brees btw). Then after a sign and trade by the Jets he played back into becoming a starter (similar to Tannehill last year). It’s not what comes to mind as a journeyman QB.
